I'm a drummer myself and I can safely say what Blake is doing is bland, boring and very easy to do even for amateur drummers, whereas Brann's drumming is actually highly complex and requires the skills of a semi-pro to pro to achieve. Also, Brann's setup sounds way more organic and quite natural, whereas Blake's annoying trigger setup is superficial and can be found on any given generic metalcore album.
@HikoSeijuroXIII Your bias towards this guy baffles me. I even took the time to watch a ton of Brann's videos, and I see nothing special or remotely complex. Perhaps we have different standards on what "complex" drumming is.

The thing about drumming or any type of music its the notes you dont hit that really make it count. Also the way you hold the stick makes the drums sound and how you hit the head. Because you can really build it with dynamics and tone rather then flashy notes.

@HikoSeijuroXIII Seriously what the fuck are talking about.? There's a lot to love about Brann's drumming and I'm with you about him having a more "organic" set up, but really? Blake's parts are a lot more diverse and technically demanding. Shit, I can pick up most of Brann's parts by ear with little effort, but learning most BTBAM songs requires a lot more attention to detail and at least a basic knowledge of a somewhat wide variety of different genres that pop up in their pieces.

I don't see how people think that saying Dailor is good personally insults Blake Richardson. Both drummers have immense amounts of skill. You don't need to be the best technical player in the world to be legit. You need to be able to make music that sounds good; which Blake Richardson and Brann Dailor both do, each with a unique style of playing. But Nick Jonas's style is shit haha!

The thing about drumming or any type of music its the notes you dont hit that really make it count. Also the way you hold the stick makes the drums sound and how you hit the head. Because you can really build it with dynamics and tone rather then flashy notes.
