First time ever on a drag strip and I ran a 13.2 6speed mt with driving aids and I was so pumped up cant wait till I go next week going to try sport mode and make a very high 12.9 or a solid 13 :)
What a RICER piece of junk. You have to have the biggest inferiority complex and small genitals to buy that Mustang. It looks fast but can't get out of its own way. You have to rev the shit out of it to even get up to speed. Glad I went with the Civic platform, 1313 whp with less money into it than this piece of american ricer costs... plus you can actually drive it without feeling like the biggest moron.

I bought my Civic for $500 in perfect condition (just the shell). You are seriously going to compare a Foxbody to driving a Civic? HAHAHA!!! I drove many modded Stags. First of all, you get a headache on every bump in the road, second that shifter feels like driving a dump truck, third that cars cannot take a turn no matter what you do to the suspension, you cant drive it in heavy rain and have to garage for the winter, and most importantly shit just always breaks on it!
@ej2project my dad bought a lincoln mark 8 for 500...4.6L v8....4000lb car running mid 14s stock and handles really nice...and is one of the smoothest riding vehicles we have ever owned...my 95 mustang was rough riding but when its a sportier car you want to have a stiffer suspension to be able to actually feel the road oh and btw nice video...a fuckin pet rabbit...yea, nice car asshole

@bizzlesnatch Well I looked over all the cars your suggested and I even looked at getting an older exige but they would all be shit in the winter especially when its 8 months out of the year. I decided to get a practical, awd, well performing car that can run with most of the cars you listed and also be a car than you can transport more than 2 people in comfortably. You can probably guess what I bought and its not an evo lol no wonder they discontinued them.

I know of a few that run good in my area but when they reach the speed my car is at they always seem to have issues, but really I'm not dogging that car, its just the way it goes when making anything quicker...My car is a good balance between reliability/mileage/ and performance, thats very hard to get with any car....but I put time and alot of research in and I was lucky enough to get a car thats easy to mod. winter and snow will rot away any car...get a truck

there is an ocean of videos showing it running mid to high 12's all day. Adding to that i have witnessed dealer fresh gt's run the same mid to high 12's. not to mention magazines getting the times i speak of.
This track is at Gateway Speedway, so a corrected e.t. would be about 13.3 at 107.5. His 60ft time 2.15 is a little weak even for an auto and stock tires, should be about 2.05 60 ft. That would get it to about a 13.2 at 108mph. Plus remember stock autos have torque modulation, they pull about 20deg of timing when they shift, if you dyno tune this car they can take that out, that would put this car at about 13.00 110mph.
@awhitness Yep, a dyno tune will help alot. But I just wanted to see what the car would do STOCK unmodified. My Z28 Camaro Ran a 13.5 Bone stock, next mod included a cold air intake kit and it dropped to a 13.1. Bottom line is this car runs good bone stock. Let the mods begin!
@bizzlesnatch This 5.0 should be a lot faster than your Z28 camaro.. mid 13's is still a bit slow.. u should be in the low 13s high 12's with a good launch.. The autos are actually faster than the manuals out of the whole.

@bizzlesnatch There are those in the Mustang camp that say the Auto is faster than the manual. I drove an auto with 3:15 gears and it felt darn fast to me. I'm used to my Camaro SS, but the 5.0 felt pretty quick.

I drove two and they both felt pretty solid and quick. I don't think they're 12 second cars bone stock, although there are plenty that claim that. I have had 5 Mustangs, the last a 2008 Bullitt and they were great cars but not fast. If you search YouTube, you'll find many others running about what this car did, both stick and autos.

However, I have beaten 5 Mustang 5.0s two while I was bone stock and 3 since then. Some were modded and one actually had drag radials. Look at my videos and especially the modded Mustang that could only do 12.98 at it's best. Yah, it's a real temptation to buy a new Stang...my 08 Bullitt dealership just offered me $5K rebate and guaranteed me a lower monthly payment to buy a 5.0 premium stick or auto, but I wouldn't be happy with performance.

@4gear83stang I really don't have to do much research. There are many videos of the 5.0s running mid 13s on YouTube. Plus, you're right, I have a Camaro and I've run 5 of them, 2 bone stock and 3 others modded (both my car and the 5.0) and I have yet to be beaten by any of them. There are plenty of Camaros running low 12s with slilcks and my Camaro runs 12.4s on street tires with exhaust and CAI. Running 12.7 with a 5.0 isn't bragging territory. See my Youtube videos for example.

But a relatively stock Foxbody 5.0 works hard to break out of the 15s...I know, I had one and had to put lots of money in it to break into the 13s. @mawk27 These Mustang fanboys claim all sorts of amazing ETs with BONESTOCK 5.0s and I agree, they are very fast, but when you read the comments on the YouTube runs, you find they aren't stock at all..one running 12.0s (which I applaud) someone said was bonestock, but the video comments the owner says he has a 93 octane dynotune and running Street DRs. So, when you post a time, be proud of what it runs and tells us what your mods are.
Ah haha I did 14.1 in a 2002 gt with 260 HP. My SRT 6 Crossfire runs 12 flat with street tires so I just can't respect those times. Get drag slicks and run it again;)

Nice car, but not very impressive for the power they make. Same with the new Camaros, with over 400hp you should be well in the 12s. I have a 2001 WS6 M6, and with just a Magnaflow catback I ran a 13.2@109 on shitty street tires and that car is only supposed to be 325hp. I have long tubes and a lid and have run 12.806@111 with a shitty 2.18 60'. Something just not adding up with these new cars ( Camro and Mustang) both are beautiful cars though, not dogging anything.
@seansmp8 I've ran a 14.1 on a shit mail order tune with 300hp. Just swapped a Cobra intake on it and doin' the 4.30 swap before this spring with UD pullies and a total re-tune local. Should see mid13s no problem. It's just a Lincoln though with a silly 4.6 :-D

They're running in the mid/upper 12's "stock" with the 6 speed manual according to the magazines. Not sure about the auto's... I don't think they tested one yet.

@bizzlesnatch This 5.0 should be a lot faster than your Z28 camaro.. mid 13's is still a bit slow.. u should be in the low 13s high 12's with a good launch.. The autos are actually faster than the manuals out of the whole.

@Alonshalev 245/50-16 riken raptor street tires , poly bushings to re-fresh the 120,000 mile suspention. ls6 intake, headers, 4l60e, 3.73's . 232 Cam, The problem with the car was the factory catback, the single exhaust necked down to 2/58 in. 11.19 @ 122 with a 1.59 60' accidentally launched in 2nd gear.

Don't have to research, just watch the videos and you'll see what a bunch of liars these "oh, 5.0s run mid-12s bone stock" guys are. There are so many videos proving that the 5.0 typically runs mid to low 13s, it would take an idiot not to know that. Does that name fit you??? LOL You're watching a video of a 5.0 running mid 13s and you say I don't research???? Just do YOUR research and watch this video...that shouldn't be too hard for even a Mustang fanboy...lol!

@bizzlesnatch There are those in the Mustang camp that say the Auto is faster than the manual. I drove an auto with 3:15 gears and it felt darn fast to me. I'm used to my Camaro SS, but the 5.0 felt pretty quick.

@bizzlesnatch I guess you agree with me then, the 5.0 isn't always a 12 second car. Some of the Mustang fanboys say the auto is quicker than the stick. I drove two and they both felt pretty solid and quick. I don't think they're 12 second cars bone stock, although there are plenty that claim that. I have had 5 Mustangs, the last a 2008 Bullitt and they were great cars but not fast. If you search YouTube, you'll find many others running about what this car did, both stick and autos.

@jamesfs912 Quite the contrary, I love Mustangs have had 6 of them and the last one was a 2008. I'm looking at a used Boss 302 now. However, I have beaten 5 Mustang 5.0s two while I was bone stock and 3 since then. Some were modded and one actually had drag radials. So, your comment that the "new 5.0 beats out the new Camaro in every category" isn't true. I haven't been beaten by even one 5.0. You don't have to RESEARCH much about the 5.0, just watch this video since you forgot.

@jamesfs912 Better driver, maybe but the driver part only helps on reaction time and some on 60 foot times. That wouldn't account for how badly I have beaten the Mustangs. Look at my videos and especially the modded Mustang that could only do 12.98 at it's best. Yah, it's a real temptation to buy a new Stang...my 08 Bullitt dealership just offered me $5K rebate and guaranteed me a lower monthly payment to buy a 5.0 premium stick or auto, but I wouldn't be happy with performance.

@jamesfs912 Yeah, I went to my dealership and drove a really nice 5.0 (without the salesman...lol) and it was great, you could feel the power and I'm sure there's plenty of potential. But, you know, when you get your car modded and it's running as good as my Camaro (when the fans see a Camaro and a Mustang line up, they don't care if one is modded and the other not, it's Chevy VS Ford) and I beat, the SRT8s, Mustangs, it's hard to give it up for a bone stock car andd then lose!!..lol

@4gear83stang I really don't have to do much research. There are many videos of the 5.0s running mid 13s on YouTube. Plus, you're right, I have a Camaro and I've run 5 of them, 2 bone stock and 3 others modded (both my car and the 5.0) and I have yet to be beaten by any of them. There are plenty of Camaros running low 12s with slilcks and my Camaro runs 12.4s on street tires with exhaust and CAI. Running 12.7 with a 5.0 isn't bragging territory. If this is at Vandamere (4000 ft) check it out, there are plenty Camaros running low 13s and high 12s, but if this is the best it could do, be proud of it. However, the previous race was a two generation old Mustang that ran about where it should....14.2 or so...just sayin. But, at sea level the 5.0s run about the same ET you did....the YouTube videos prove that.

@ParisTNDude well u say all mustangs are good for is runnin mid 13s huh? i have a 1980 mustang. cars not gutted. its a coupe. weighs 2900-3000 pounds. i had a open end rear end with 3.08 gears (stock 4 cylinder rear) a c4 automatic transmission with a 3800 stall converter. the engine is a 88 5.0 has long tubes h pipe and spintech mufflers 2.5 inch. a 650 carberator and a stock replacment weind action plus intake. cars been 12.97 @104 mph with only 9 degrees of timing in it..

But a relatively stock Foxbody 5.0 works hard to break out of the 15s...I know, I had one and had to put lots of money in it to break into the 13s. If you ain't BSing, you have a very rare Foxbody...put it on Barrett-Jackson as a one of a kind!

There were two very fast Mustang 5.0s at this past weekend's Holley LS Fest, of course, both of them had Chevrolet engines in them...they were FAST! I asked why these died in the wool Mustang fanboys put Chevy engines in there Fords and they both said, "I like to win once in a while!" or words to that effect. yep, some Mustangs are fast!!!

@ParisTNDude I got $1290 in my car and thats counting the purchase of the vehicle. 12.90 for $1290 thats what i say lol. cars cheap and goes pretty decent for a mostly stock 5.0 with 300000 miles and a whole lot of blow by haha. but its really not hard to get 12s out of a mustang especially a fox. slap a intake with a carb (wich my car came from the factory carbed no ac) and 2.5 inch exhaust and dont forget nice shiny valve covers... hahaha

@ParisTNDude my 98 trans am ran 13.6 bone stock. and i now these new mustangs are faster. they can prob get up to high 12s. but now my trans am i put headers, polished heads, 373s, no cats, i think ill be doing around high12s-13s. havent gone to the track yet. I NEVER LIKED MUSTANGS!! BUT I HAVE TO ADMIT THE NEW 2011 ARE BEASTS!

BS. I have the videos to prove it. Bone stock GT on DOT tires. 11.88&115. On stock tires, 12.22@114. He is on the forum wars and ran 12.20's all day long(forum wars only showed his 12.5 to be nice). He is also going to be in MM&FF as well. His username is D98gt and is on all the forums and his times have been verified and approved for the fast lists. So again, look it up and contact him, or Message me and I will send you the timeslips. DA for his 11 second run was -800ft.

@mawk27 These Mustang fanboys claim all sorts of amazing ETs with BONESTOCK 5.0s and I agree, they are very fast, but when you read the comments on the YouTube runs, you find they aren't stock at all..one running 12.0s (which I applaud) someone said was bonestock, but the video comments the owner says he has a 93 octane dynotune and running Street DRs. So, when you post a time, be proud of what it runs and tells us what your mods are.

Nice car, but not very impressive for the power they make. Same with the new Camaros, with over 400hp you should be well in the 12s. I have a 2001 WS6 M6, and with just a Magnaflow catback I ran a 13.2@109 on shitty street tires and that car is only supposed to be 325hp. I have long tubes and a lid and have run 12.806@111 with a shitty 2.18 60'. Something just not adding up with these new cars ( Camro and Mustang) both are beautiful cars though, not dogging anything.

@seansmp8 I've ran a 14.1 on a shit mail order tune with 300hp. Just swapped a Cobra intake on it and doin' the 4.30 swap before this spring with UD pullies and a total re-tune local. Should see mid13s no problem. It's just a Lincoln though with a silly 4.6 :-D

I feel it is already there with the intake, but it takes a lot to make heavy cars and trucks go fast as I am sure you can understand putting an LS1 in that thing. ;-) I've seen some pretty sick turbo diesel Cummins out there too with hella torque which is the department I am lacking in currently LOL

@ms3ben It is a good time. Big blocks in the 60's and 70's had a hard time running 13's, now they are doing it with a stock 5.0....I would love to see this car with some stickies and a stall

They're running in the mid/upper 12's "stock" with the 6 speed manual according to the magazines. Not sure about the auto's... I don't think they tested one yet.
