Have you ever tried Famous Dave's self tanners? I just ordered some of there self tan mousse and I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out. I use Beautisol at the moment and it's a wonderful self tan lotion. Everyone on youtube has been talking about the SUN products but I wasn't a big fan of that lotion.

Thx for the review it's very helpful! Do you need to exfoliate EVERY TIME before reapplying....otherwise how often do u exfoliate?

I wonder if you can help me out. I have seen sooo many excellent reviews on xen-tan dark lotion. I have just applied it today and so far I feel like a mess! I'm hoping it will look less patchy once I wash it off?? Could you give me some advice on the best way to apply this tanning lotion?? (I am a beginer)

It will look a mess when you first apply it, just make sure you get everywhere. I use vinyl gloves to apply for even application plus you don't get your hands stained. I apply the tan to my hands using a cotton pad.

I really love this tanner! the only thing I have trouble with is, how do u maintain it? because it fades a bit patchy aswel. and i usually have to spend a few days trying to scrub it all off and then apply it again. This isn't really that great because then ppl see me brown, patchy, white, all in a week! lol. you see what im saying?

@nwonknu803 Do you moisturise every day? That might help. Unfortunately I don't really have an issue with it going patchy except in the creases of the arms or if i've applied too many layers. Sorry I can't be of more help. In order to exfoliate as well I use exfoliator gloves and find these work well.

Im really glad iv found ur vids they are great! Id reccomend the superdrug solait fake tan mousse, you cant really see where you apply it but the colour is really dark with no orangeness, and lasts for ages with no streaks :) id say it lasts about 5 days. :)xxx

Right now i'm using st moriz because i ran out of the xen tan and didn't want to pay £16-£20 for another bottle

I exfoliate then moisturise. After about 30 mins i will apply the fake tan working from my feet upwards.

I got two xen tan products face and the body, the smells good for a fake tan but it didnt work for me =( ive used soooo many fake tans and the best ive found is st tropez =) I really wana try st moriz but i cant find it anywhere xox

Great review - I picked up a xen tan lotion (not the dark one - I was scared of that lol), and applied it tonight - the lack of horrible smell is amazing, and I'm going a lovely golden brown as we speak!

Don't worry the dark lotion is not that dark and develops really quickly although i find it hard to remove if you want to go back to your normal skin tone. It requires a lot of scrubbing x

coz i used to use fake tan all the time bt stoped and ended up using sunbeds because got sick of the tan feeling off after couple of days but now wnt to quit sunbeds and go back to faketan but cant find a decent tan still

The xen tan and st tropez both peel where my bra has been and on my neck and chest or if I apply too much, then I need to exfoliate again and reapply.

I have used Xen Tan and love it! I do find that you really have to wash your hands in between doing each body part because it will really stain your hands- but the color is great and long lasting!

Its a flannel glove type thing which you can pick up from the drugstore. I use one by St Tropez, it makes the tan go on smoothly
