This was a good movie, but I like Last House a lot better. The old lady in this was fucking creepy as fuck!! I thought the Judge was creepy too. The Nurse there, I think it was Charlotte...might be wrong...but I thought she was beautiful. She sells Real Estate now.
Hey! I liked this film! Curious why the title card on all VHS/DVD titles look as if someone wrote "Don't Look in the Basement" onto a card, and spliced it onto the film. I saw the film on late night TV in the seventies, and the title was featured along the bottom of the screen as Rosie Holitik walks across the grounds of the asylum. All DVD VHS versions have the the cardboard title card spliced onto the film.
I still feel bad for Allison. She just couldn't get a man, no matter what she did. All she wanted was some "male attention," and there were no takers.....even the phone man turned her down!
I looked in my basement and was sad not to find anything lol. kiddn but this movie is a MUST OWN. a classic at it's best. I watched this several times. alone : ( because no one shares my interests around me in good horror movies. but yes, you gotta get this movie. i baught this on a four horror movie disc collection called killers collection. u can get it on ebay for 9.99 for four movies . it's worth it.
To avoid falling asleep, watch this mongrel standing up, with a cup of coffee and some Nodoze. In fact, if you have a basement, your air conditioner is most likely located there. Don't go turn it off: It may keep your eyes open-while you snore through this sleeper.
