Ummmm, nevermind. I mean his voice is still sexy. But he can stop right now with all that bullshit about how Obama's got it hard. BULL SHIT. We all know he's just as bought off by Wall Street as any fucking Republican. If you don't see that you're blind.
OMG does anyone just think his voice is sexy as hell? I mean especially when he's talking like that. GGGGGRrrrrrrr. Just sounds like, butter on hot toast.
Schneiderman seems like he's sincere, but he needs to stop being so kind to that fucker Obama. While Schneiderman is fighting for justice, Obama is fighting to help the big banks in any way he can. For example, Obama's new proposal that supposedly helps home owners with mortgages that are underwater contains a provision that absolves the banks of financial responsibility for any fraud they may have committed in giving those mortgages -- undercutting Schneiderman's efforts. Obama is the enemy!
@xxxxPaladinxxxx Jesus, give it a break, will ya, Tea Party? Obama's not the enemy... the 1% is the true enemy of this country, feeding on the people like a vampire. We can never seem to get on our feet because every time we try to, there's another manufactured financial bubble to pound us down again.
This guy speaks more sense that I've heard from ANY of the Republican leaders, who are determined to keep everything as crappy as possible so they can blame it on Obama.
@qxe I'm not a Tea Partier, douchebag. I'm a progressive who recognizes a banksters' friend when he sees one. You need to wise up and realize who your real enemies are.
@xxxxPaladinxxxx You sure sound like a Tea Partier, there, friend. All I hear from the Tea Party group is sheer, gibbering Obama hatred, and the crazy thing is, these were ALL Bush supporters who embraced Bush's slash and burn of the Bill of Rights, but when Obama doubles down on all the nasty Bush policies, they don't embrace him for it!
I'm a progressive, too, and I dislike Obama for these reasons, but if we pull him down before the election, would you be happier with any of the GOP idiots?
@qxe Although you're probably trying to just piss me off with those Tea Party comments, you probably have good intentions. Unfortunately, you're letting your fear of the Republicans keep you from doing what you, me and all other progressives MUST
Although you're probably trying to just piss me off with those Tea Party comments, you probably have good intentions. Unfortunately, you're letting your fear of the Republicans keep you from doing what you, me and all other progressives MUST do: stop voting for bad Democrats like Obama! If we don't -- if they continue to know there will be no consequences -- things will only get worse, Republican president or not. I guarantee it!
@xxxxPaladinxxxx And what would THAT be, that which all progressives MUST do?
Should we all pull together to do our best to tear President Obama a new asshole, further weakening his position to let a GOP contender be President? Maybe we'd fare better under President Gingrich, or President Romney? I couldn't care less about pissing you off (not a troll), but I'm a realist. Ron Paul has no chance, and the rest of the GOP short bus are truly frightening. So if you have a real plan, then spill it.
@qxe I already stated in my comment what we must do: We must stop voting for bad Democrats. If there's a real progressive on the ballot, vote for him or her instead.
Your problem is that you're terrified of what will happen in the short term, but are oblivious to what will happen in the long term if you keep giving Democrats a pass. You give them no incentive to change their ways. This is why things are the way are now, and if we continue doing this, things will get MUCH worse!
@xxxxPaladinxxxx Okay, okay, I hear you. I could get behind that, it sounds great on paper, except for just one thing: If you "punish" the best Progressive that runs by not being ideal and you let a Regressive (Republican) slip into his spot, then you have a REAL problem.
They become entrenched, and it doesn't take a Regressive very long to do a tremendous amount of damage in the "short term", while you stomp your little foot and say, "See what happens when you aren't the perfect candidate?".
@qxe But that's just it. You don't punish the BEST progressive. You REWARD him or her by voting for him instead of guys like Obama.
This isn't about demanding perfection in our candidates. It's about letting Democrats know that there will be consequences if they don't commit to progressive policies. Right now, they know there will be none, because voters are scared shitless of what the Republicans might do.
It's going to take courage, but it's the only way to save our country.
@xxxxPaladinxxxx Well, you might be right, and in the future we might begin to train our candidates in this new reward/punishment scenario (I'm all for it, brother) but right NOW, in THIS Presidential election, do you really think it's time to implement this Plan?
The consequences for such rash action would be dire. This is my only point. I like your plan, it's a good plan, and if there was a better Dem running for Pres, I'd vote for him in heartbeat. Right now, though... your plan sucks balls.
@qxe How can you say it sucks when you don't even know who's running for president yet? You DO have more choices than merely Dems and Repukes, you know.
If you think the consequences of my idea would be dire now, I guarantee things will be more dire next time around if we continue to let fear of those consequences intimidate us. And 4 years later, it will be worse. I've been watching this broken record for years.
At least NOW, we still have a choice, but we're running out of time.
@xxxxPaladinxxxx Ok, let me break it down... The DNC will not let any other Dems compete with POTUS on the Dem ticket, so that leaves a lackluster bunch of GOP crazies. There's no way in hell the GOP is going to let Newt be their man, as he's a fat, mean-ass baby-man, and Ron Paul can never, ever get the nod because he's not pro-war, and we fucking run on war so he's out.
That leaves Romney. Fuck that .001%er. If Paul goes 3rd party, I'll vote for him, otherwise the only real choice is Obama.
@xxxxPaladinxxxx "more choices than merely Dems and Repukes"? Really? Who else? Is an Eco-Friendly Super Angel going to pop out of the Green Party's butt overnight? Is Nader dragging his old man curtain ass to the party? Who, man... WHO?
I can't wait to see our dreamy Mystery Date™ is behind Curtain No. 3!!!
oooo... I hope it's either Matt Damon or that chick from Community
@qxe I don't know what state you live in, but I encourage you to check your ballot in November. If history is any indication, you'll most likely have more than two choices for president (for example, in Michigan we had FIVE candidates in 2008).
I also encourage you, if you're serious about having alternatives, to look into helping other candidates get on your state ballot. You can be as snarky as you want about it, but we DO have other options.
@xxxxPaladinxxxx Yeah, I do enjoy me some snark. We'll see if there's any other candidates, but I'm certain that Obama will be the only Dem, and I'll vote for him, but I'll stay home before I vote Republican, or a third party that acts like a Republican.
I'd like to say that besides Ron Paul, there's even ONE other Republican that votes independently of the party line, but you and I both know that's there not a single one. Tea Party cunts are even worse.
@xxxxPaladinxxxx The tax breaks for the 1% they shove through, the striking down of Progressive legislation, the curtailing of civil rights and all the faith-based giveaways are MUCH harder to get reversed later because Progressive lack the political backbone to make those hard cuts, and all the Regressives fight like demons for their pork.
@xxxxPaladinxxxx How about this? You get your best guy in there, and then you make sure to keep the pressure on him or her to do the right thing, ala OWS, internet campaigns like the anti-SOPA/PIPA backlash, etc. Have you noticed how Progressives don't get a lot done because of all the hand-wringing and nit-picking? Be more like the Regressives in your politics and I think we have a better chance.
@xxxxPaladinxxxx I wish people like you would think before you write. President Obama just appointed eric schneiderman as co-chair of a presidential task force to help with the mortgage crisis. Did you listen to the SOTU?
@kindofbluenyc Actually, I didn't listen to Obama's speech, though I did just find out about the appointment. I don't trust Obama in the least, but if things work out and Schneiderman can make something happen, I'll be the first to give Obama credit.
But I'm not holding my breath. I've seen Obama play his political games too many times to be suckered in again.
Ummmm, nevermind. I mean his voice is still sexy. But he can stop right now with all that bullshit about how Obama's got it hard. BULL SHIT. We all know he's just as bought off by Wall Street as any fucking Republican. If you don't see that you're blind.
