Heres a new concept for most americans it seems... How about studing every canidate nomatter what party there from, there backrounds, there views, and what they want done. Instead of listening to a pretty speach.
the notion that super delegates deciding the nominee won't absolutely destroy the party because it is technically within the rules as they are written is absurd. if people feel like party insiders disregarded what their votes decided (even if nobody can reach 2024), they will feel as though they have been the ultimate victims of disenfranchisement. that it is technically valid given the rules won't matter, perception is reality & people will perceive it as though their votes got stomped on.
michael shure is spinning overtime. its like listening to Clintons campaign manager. problem is, i watch TYT for straight shootin. so mike, i love ya, but the partisan apologetics are tedious, and your arguments sounds ridiculously strained.
hey, I heard something on CNN and I don't know if it's BS or not. Someone in PA was being interviewed (gov? not sure, didn't see name) and he said that FL dem party voted to move primary up to allowed date, but FL republican politicos and gov moved it up further than allowed by national dem party so really, national dem party is punishing FL dems for something they didn't do...that they didn't break the rules, they just didn't have the clout to stop it. Fact or fiction? I hadn't heard before.
Sorry, but Florida voting in the primary is anomaly for many reasons, there was no campaigning, and a property tax measure meant that the turnout was skewed to homeowners and not renters.
I was forced to sit out of one the most important elections because of the rules. Now becuse Clinton won Fl(whos delegates were clear 2 not count) and she's losing they want 2 really try 2 pull this bs?
I voted Edwards. Clinton is lucky there is no revote in FL w/ campaigning she would have lost.
Although I support Obama I'm planning on voting for Hillary if she wins the nomination fairly. I don't like her, but she's better than McCain and his 100 more years of war. But if she snakes the nomination away from the leader at convention time, I will not vote at all. I don't think it is out of the realm of possiblity, but if she does it, it will damn us to another 4 years of Republican war mongering. Do the right thing, Hillary. When there is no more chance of taking the lead, back out.
Ya, he has come out and essentially supported Obama recently. He hasn't been an Obama guy from day 1 though. He's simply picked the only candidate that can still win the nomination.
Not that recently! He started supporting him shortly before the Iowa Caucuses! He was leaning towards him and Hillary's actions really put him completely in Obama's camp! He's not the bandwagon guy! He supported him when Hillary was in the lead!!
(p.2)CLINTON CLAIMED SHE DIDN'T KNOW THAT BLACKWATER WAS GIVEN IMMUNITY FROM PROSECUTION
Clinton Admitted That She Didn't Know About A Provision That Gave Blackwater Immunity From Prosecution In Iraq Because Of An Exemption Passed After The US Invasion.
2004: Clinton Attended An Armed Services Committee Meeting Where Wolfowitz Testified on The Immunity Of Contractors—She Even Commented.
2003: Coalition Provisional Authority Declared Contractors Immune To Iraqi Law.
(p.3)WHILE CLINTON DID NOTHING, OBAMA SUBMITTED A BILL ADDRESSING CONTRACTOR OVERSIGHT IN FEBRUARY 2007 TO CLINTON'S COMMITTEE
FEB 2007: Obama Submitted a Bill to Make Contractors Accountable to Law—to Clinton's Committee.
WHILE OBAMA HAS NO TIES TO THE PRIVATE MILITARY INDUSTRY AND DOES NOT ACCEPT LOBBYIST MONEY, BLACKWATER GOT ITS FIRST FEDERAL CONTRACT UNDER BILL CLINTON AND HAD NOTABLE TIES TO INDIVIDUALS LINKED TO THE HILLARY CLINTON CAMPAIGN
Still have to disagree with Cenk on MI and FL. They shouldn't use the current votes, but SOME revote has to occur, even if it is funded by the candidates.
I think this for the same reason I agree with Cenk on Clinton winning via superdelegates: Every vote should count.
speaking as young black man....Im not saying i would never vote again but i know that overiding the delegate count in august and naming clinton the winner would alienate the overwhelming majority of black voters who at first didnt believe there vote counted in da first place it would also alienate young voters in general who had the same feelings before the campaign not too mention some regular voters who would naturally be upset by that. If it happens, no way we can win the white house
Speaking as a black woman, Not ONLY the black votes, but most of the Obama supporters' votes - which are overwhelmingly non-black, which is why he's won Wyoming, Iowa, Maine, etc. Don't make this a black thing. It isn't. I agree about the youth vote. I think that would be the GREATEST tragedy. They're so hopeful. This would be heartbreaking for them and they would become very cynical about politics.
Your going to have a tough time discussing this race without somebody trying to turn it into a "black thing". I know cause I am constantly trying myself, without much luck. :(
Cenks fill in sounds like a Clinton apologist of the nineties! I know because I was one of them. It is what it is. redefining is. Hillary needs to bow out for the party.
re. deanlowe's comment: Obama would have a far better chance of defeating McCain than Hillary. Hillary is not well liked. And following this sleazy campaign of hers, she gained more enemies.
To argue that superdelegates should not overturn the popular vote is NOT a breaking of the rules, it's a compelling argument. Superdelegates voting for Obama is not a breaking of the rules. HRC tries to pull everyone down to her level, but the fact is she alone broke the rules by campaigning in FL/MI and she is now trying to get away with it by pressuring the party to break the rules again and count those votes. HRC, keep your filth to yourself. Obama is clean on that one. Blondie is a douche.

Is Micheal capable of NOT being completely full of shit on ANY subject?!? Barring a Spitzer-type meltdown, there is NO justification WHATSOEVER for overturning the popular vote and pledged delegate count with supers. You'd be taking an historic Democratic election and pissing it down the drain by having party bosses throw it to the guy (in this case gal) that came in second.
michael luvs the establishment, its time to get rid of this way of thinking. I'm not saying Obama is perfect or a messiah but its a start. If you look back, bill clinton helped Poppy bush (I hope you know why they call him Poppy) get away with iran-contra, and I'm sure hillary clinton will help poor george w out too, they are all part of the same Crime Family

Obama is not a start, he's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Face it the entire election is a farce. Obama, Clinton, McCain are all advised by and members of the Council on Foreign Relations. Their pockets are filled with Rockefeller money, And all of the promote the UN over US Sovereignty. Google Jordan Maxwell or TheAntiTerrorist here on YouTube.
its funny how hillary supporters care about the rules when it comes to superdelegates overturning the american people, but when it comes to florida and michigan breaking the rules they don't have a problem with it, and they want the votes to count.
The two things are entirely different. HRC broke the rules AND her own commitment by campaigning in FL/MI. Counting those votes would be another rule break. Saying the superdelegates should not overturn the popular vote is NOT a breaking of the rules. Superdelegates voting against HRC does NOT break the rules. That argument is ridiculous and only a brainwashed Clintonite would take that seriously. Again Clinton broke the rules, Obama didn't and isn't planning to.
Cenk FTW! If Hillary captures this nomination, be sure that John McCain is president. Thousands of Obama voters will be pissed as hell, whereas Hillary voters can concede their candidate was behind.

lmao. It may?!
I'm so sick of Clinton supporters and the hot air they're trying to blow up our ass.
I voted Edwards, from Florida. Why? Cuz this is an important election and I am very involved.
If it were legit 2 count FL then certainly...why not block candidates from campaigning completely in elections?
The Clinton arguement falls flat on its face. FL is not revoting. U can split delegates 50/50 or u can deal w/ it like we have.
