  • Can this plug straight into the iPod nano 4g?

  • ya, it's compatible with any of the iPods...

  • I plugged it into the newest iPod, it plugs in fine, but then my headphone socket is blocked since it is not on the top of the ipod, and there is no way to plug it in :(

  • I'm not sure I understand what you mean... if the transmitter is plugged into the jack at the bottom of the iPod, it should work fine. why would you need to plug headphones into it if you're using the transmitter?

  • On the bottom of my iPod, I have a headphone jack, and a flat rectangle plug that is used to plug into my PC. when I plug the iTrip into the flat rectangle plug, the headphone jack is blocked, and there is no way to plug in the headphones when it is on, or no way to put the headphones in, then the radio transmitter.

  • well, in the case of the nano, you have to unplug the transmitter in order to use your headphones, unfortunately that's one of the drawbacks of its being so compact... I ran into that same problem, though I'm pretty sure it isn't an issue with the larger iPods (the headphone jack is far enough from the dock connector that you can still plug other accessories in and still use the headphones). I'm really not sure why Apple didn't leave the headphone jack on top of the nano (like the iPod Mini)...

  • the black "spacers" are for your docking station

  • How much did yours cost? I got mine for $10, but it was the older version.

  • I think it was around $40 (normally $50, but it was "on sale"). in hindsight I'm realizing that there are much better options as far as quality/performance vs. price, but it's not like this one doesn't work- it just doesn't perform as well as others.

  • do u know how 2 put movies on the ipod without useing itunes?

  • I'm not really sure, the only thing I could think of would be to try checking on Google... as far as creating the videos, there are several programs you can use to encode video to an iPod-compatible format, or download from websites (Videora, for example). hope I was able to help you out!

  • Ourvideo12, You can use the Winamp and Floola, plus theres another called Wondershare iPOD video transfers. I personally have found Winamp to be the best with ml_pod

  • thanks Embley, good to know!
