  • Good idea. I like the simplicity and dollar amount to make it. Thanks for posting. I just got a Minn Kota 55lbs electric motor for my 16' canoe. It should move it pretty good.

  • I thought I would throw a peice of advise your way....I would have a small cable attached to your little vintage motor, just incase the 2x4 split and broke, you wouldn't lose that little gem to the bottom of the lake.

  • Just finished mine for my canoe and it came out great thanks for sharing ..I used 3/8" 16 wing nuts instead makes it easier to to tighten...my husband is thinking of doing something like this for his kayak but we'll see...
