I know that they are evil because I'm Cuban. Born in 1971 and left in 1990. Castro did not freed anyone, he has slaved them. What you think of the US does not change what has happened in Cuba, my experiences, my sufering, my exile, and the 4 million Cubans in exile. I don't need any spanish channel to tell me about what I learned in Havana, under Castro. My parents fought for him like all cubans did and he betrayed them. This is not "propaganda" it is a fact. Their concept of freedom consists of a very narrow nature dictated by the gov. They can not see concepts like speech, private property, religion, association, etc. as having anything to do with their problems. The Embargo calls for the USA not to do business with Cuba, all other countries do. But socialist economies depend on imports and exports controlled by the gov. because they can not allow a free market economy to take place because it could overturn their gov. like it happened in USSR. If the embargo was stopped the Cuban people would not know it, because they will lie about it or use another excused. Capitalist system is not perfect, but it has fed more people than Socialism.

I know it is difficult to imagine that someone could stay in power for so long without support. But, Socialism are totalitarian regimes where the people are controlled from the moment are born. When you expressed yourself you are accused of contra revolution and prosecuted immediately. No decent is allowed. You work, get paid and are educated by the gov. Some people do support them because it is easier to join them than to fight them. In the absence of truth people will believe anything.

There is plenty of land to farm in Cuba. They can produce their own food supply. The goverment does not allow the people to work the land and blame's the problems on the embargo. If the embargo was stoped, the people in Cuba would not know it. Everyone is employed by the goverment, and they want to keep them poor, so they can't fight back. It is called "Socialism". I know it is hard to underestand. But I was born in Cuba in 1971 and left in 1990. I still have friends there and I keep in touch.
