What level is the kill screen? In 82 I could get to Level 25 100 meters end hight. It only gave 25 seconds to clear the level which was impossible???? I haven't seen this movie yet.

Actually in the case of DK, the problem's not with an end of memory for the levels. It's a code bug that accidentally overflows a calculation in the timer for Level 22 which leaves you with so little time it's impossible to get even halfway to the top before the timer runs out and you die. There is a patch for the error in MAME images of DK.

i noticed this too because it starts out at 100 then jumps to 4000. my guess is that it's still at 100. and also it's not like the others because it's only on level 117 and not 256.

and i haven't tried this patch. does it make it endless or is there a different kill screen?
