I've read in Wikipedia that Norway, Denmark and Sweden are the original Scandinavia but Iceland and Finland are extensions to it, so they count as Scandinavia, too!

I don't think soo. Denmark, Norway and Sweden is Scandinavia after what I've learned at school. I don't know what this is in English, but here in Norway we call Scandinavia + Iceland & Finland "Norden"

Offically Scandinavia is Sweden, Norway and Denmark. But when speaking unoffically, people often include Finland and Iceland in this area.

Finland belongs to Fennoskandia with Sweden and Norway.
