  • Hello

I have a Midi-usb connector, and can play sounds in fruity loops via midi. However, with the editor I can't seem to detect the korg? It says 'device not found' (even though I can select the input/output - it's called USB-MIDI)

  • I keep getting "can't read device from midi" in my sound editor???? someone help. Windows 7 64 bit. m-audio usb interface. mk.

  • Part 2 please! This was amazing.

  • Ach joh dat accent valt wel mee! Ik hoorde meteen dat je NL was, maar dat is geen probleem. Je Engels is verder gewoon goed! Ik ga je tips zeker checken, bedankt!!

  • iv done all that and its still doesn't work. rather annoying but thanks for the vid has helped me up to a point

  • where can i get Librarian Software??

  • ATTENTION: for those who still get "ERROR: can't recieve midi message from the device":

You have to set the clock to Ext. --> Midi - Clock - Ext (3rd knob)

  • @danyelsan87 how do you do that when i press shift and turn the 3 nob all i get is --- on every number]

  • @elliottvongrim You have to turn Edit select 2; choose MIDI; then turn 3 knob and set it to EXT.

  • @danyelsan87 I'm not sure I'm catching your instructions...turn knob 3 is confusing me...

  • I keep receiving a message that says "Error: Can't receive MIDI Message from the Device"

    I've hooked up everything.

    Help, please...

  • @novanine9 You have to set the clock to Ext. --> Midi - Clock - Ext (3rd knob)

  • @danyelsan87 - Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out. I'll give it a shot. Thanks again!

  • How do you transfer some of the sounds using the computer sound editor? For instance, I downloaded the sounds for the MicroKorg and R3 etc from the korg website. I want to put a few of the sounds from the library onto mine and delete some of the other ones but I don't know how you transfer them? PLEASE HELP!

  • Thanks. Its actually hard trying to find an explanation for those simple questions. Thanks again.

  • Hello, do you know anything about the MAC sound editor program? I've hooked up my microkorg via midi and an mbox2 but I get an error screen reading "Midi Error, Microkorg Not Responding" whenever I try to do anything. Thanks for your help in advance! :)

  • Well, finally started working on part 2 again. When given time, I will finish it before the end of 2010. Well finally! Thanx everybody for your comments. Microkorg patches can still be found a lot on the internet, just Google "Microkorg patches" and don't give up too easy. There are also a few very nice patches on YouTube...

  • Oh and one more thing if you dont mind, i searched "MS2000 patches" liek you did but i cant find a donwlaod anywhere could u please just send me a link in a pm or something. Thanks again i really appreciate it :)

  • Where part 2?!?!?! i seriosuly ADORE your videos. Thank you so much for uploaiding, all this computer stuff can be confusing at times. I only got my microkorg 2 days ago :L i dont want to accendently delete everything and there be no back up :S thanks again :)

  • hi there....i am a new microkorg user, so know very little.

ARE THE LIBRARIAN SOUNDS BETTER THAN THE SOUNDS OF THE FACTORY SETTINGS?

OR DOES THE SOFTWARE, ONLY, ALLOW YOU TO SAVE PATCHES?

i AM NOT SURE WHAT THE BENEFITS ARE?

    THANKS

  • @oneguyincalif: The librarian does NOT come with sounds, it's just a means of organising your patches("sounds") on your PC and MicroKorg, so you can create a sort of libraries of them (that's why it's called librarian). The patches ("sounds") you can download from the internet (like I did) are much better than the factory settings, at least to my taste.

Your next question: NO, not only saving patches, but there's also a build in editor with which you can create and alter patches ("sounds")

  • @Salebtuber - Thank you so much for that. Good karma, indeed!

You mentioned that you downloaded some great patches online. Could you point me in the right direction?

Maybe some of your favorite patch download site addresses?

    Most kind regards,

    Tom

  • IS IT TRUE THAT I CAN GET ALL of the original microkorg's sounds with the download of Sound Editor ONTO A NEWER MICROKORG XL?

In other words...if I buy the xl....and I download the editor...WILL i BE ABLE TO, ALSO, GET ALL OF THE SOUNDS / SYNTH PATCHES OF THE ORIGINAL ONTO MY NEWER MICROKORG XL?

I am trying to decide between the two.

so if it is the case that by...just buying the xl...i can get both the sounds of the newer and the older...than i will just buy the newer xl

    thanks.

    thanks

  • @novanine9

I'm sorry, but I can't tell you. Maybe a MicroKorg XL user can?
