And to reach gerudos fortress as a child you have to perform a glitch to get past the gate at the bridge. I have a link in the description.

On N64 you just do DoT skip.

You can't RBA the spiritual stones as a child.

That will always be required. Skipping light arrow entierly (which means skipping medallions) wont ever be possible. :p

The same goes for light arrows.

So you can skip it in many different ways, you can do it with just bombs and shield if you want (that is how we do it in speedruns)

Atleast you won't get the lighting glitch. If you have the older 64 version, lighting can make your n64 mess up, and it gives you everything. Lolz. And then when you restart it goes back to its original spot. trololololo, is what the n64 said. XDDDD

Can you save the game as child link with the Bottle on B, or will that mess things up? If you can't, that means you have to beat the first three dungeons, plus do everything you did in the video without saving once. Sorry for the noob question.

@ZacharyKrodel You may save the game with bottle on B if you have the fishing rod. So simple go to the fishing pond to save your game.

Dying is not really a problem at all.

But saving is a problem, as it pretty much prevents us from making segmented newgame+ runs. =(

People that is decent with single cycle on n64 can't even do it with giants knife on 3ds.

I can safely say that I've been 1 attack away from 1 cycle atleast 15 times.

And this is why we believe that it isn't possible.

I get the feeling that ganondorf automatically get up after a while.

@USSRlolcatus Not really. The bow could be skipped if we RBA arrows during the battle. It IS possible...

Getting bow requires you to get hookshot, go to forest temple, get 3 keys and make your way to the bow itself.

RBA during ganondorf battle requires you to not equip kokiri sword (which means no KZ skip), get Milk Bottle from Malon, perform Lon Lon Stick, and then a slow battle against ganondorf.

There is also many other small things. It is hard to tell which one is faster, and by how much.

@CloudMNintendo That's quite interesting. on the way up ganons castle you have to kill a few enemies including stalfos.... im not sure if there is some contrived way to kill them fairly quickly with something obscure like deku nuts and chus. then i suppose the ganon fight would be quite annoying... explsosives till the last cycle then swtich to biggorons. i guess that makes sence but im not sure how much time that would save. getting bombchus nd slower fights. there are chus in spirit trial

@USSRlolcatus We do not need chus or biggorons.

We just use deku sticks on B to make our way to ganondorf.

When we run out of sticks, we just get bottle on B, RBA new deku sticks, and save the game.

Saving the game results in the bottle reverting into a deku stick.

So you just repeat the process..

Though, while writing this, I just found an issue.

Saving to revert bottle into a deku stick does not work with the lon lon stick method of getting deku stick on B... So my entire theory is ruined.

Yay for Skipping (some) temples as I've already done Forest Temple. Anyway: I got the mushroom as Young Link, and then went ToT to change to adult link. Warped to LH > Fishing Pond to get bottle on B. Caught bug in bottle (on B) with mushroom on II and I got: Water,Spirit,Shadow medallion. It also deleted Bolero of Fire and Minuet of Forest.

@GuardianLinx An NG+ file is that name I gave to the save files created using my "NewGame Plus" glitch.

This is a glitch which allows you to start a new file with almost any item on the B button, it is very useful glitch, as it is the key to get light arrow without even getting the bow itself!

RBA is the most powerful glitch that has ever been found in Ocarina of Time.

It is this glitch that manipulates the game to give you the medallions.

Oh Theres one thing I randomly incounterd 2 days ago when I got the game. I had the adult wallet and I did not finshes the happy mask side quest So the glitch starts whhen I had the skull mask I went to the skull kid (before the deku stick upgrade) And for somereson He filled my wallet full .-. I dont know how it happed But It was funny to see that even a lost kid can be loaded

@dicethehegehog So, you do not know how BA works? Well, it is actually REALLY simple. Use the item chart over at zeldaspeedruns on the page /oot/ba/item-chart If you want to get Boomerang on B you need the value 14. So you place a bottle on II that contains lets say bugs. Bugs links to the arrow count. So what you do is you get 14 arrows. Get bottle on B Turn into child link Place bottled Bugs in II. Turn into adult link. This will place item 14 (boomerang) on B.

Theres one thinfg I really want to ask you. Iif you can start a game with any item on the B button. Then cant you test if you can get the ocarina of time on B. I want to know and see what happeds or better yet how to get the boomarang or the gontlets. That would be quite useful to use

@dicethehegehog You can start with ocarina on B. I think it was the second item I tested.

You can not get gauntlets on B as it isn't an item, it is a "gear".

I do not see how starting with Boomerang on B would help, but it is entierly possible.

You just BA boomerang onto your B button, exit the game while riding on a horse, or while you are fishing, and then create a new save file. Same process as starting with a bottle on B, except that you do BA.

Around 3:20 you were tapping the Odd Mushroom in the menu for a bit. Did that trigger the sun coming up? I did see that it was close to a sun rise. Though it went a little faster more like instant you fiddled with that mushroom that it went morning already. Or nothing really happened cuz it just got day already? =)

did I understand correctly? you have 1 arrow because you dont have the quiver. when you shoot the arrow you have no arrows obviously. if you get an arrow of a jar do you have 1 arrow again? if thats the case there are probably some jars around in the boss room of ganondorf . that would solve the problem not being able to one cycle him with master sword.

@Twant1988 You can not get any arrow drops as we do not have a quiver.

We get 1 arrow because we RBA arrows (You get 29 arrows if you catch bugs in your B bottle), but when you use an arrow, the game checks for your quiver, and instantly sets it to 0, because that is your maximum capacity.

@CloudMNintendo Can't you use the RBA on Cojiro to get a glitched quiver like on the N64 version? It's not really out of your way. Also, has anyone found a way to bypass the door of time on this version? How about getting out of bounds with triple slash clipping?

@Glitcher2000 We can not RBA quiver anymore. They moved the items around, and it appears that RBA for quiver is out of our boundaries. We can not reach it.

And the door of time is MUCH bigger than on n64. It continues inside the walls. So just bypassing it woul require hovering around it, which we cant.

Maybe one day.. but I do not think it is possible. the game is already insanely fast thanks to this.

By using Din's Fire, we're able to keep the master sword during the battle again ganon.

HOWEVER, What I need someone to confirm is if this is possible with Farore's Wind.

Yes, it requires the use of Restricted Items, and it would be insanely hard to pull off, but in a segmented run this could help us save time, as this would be better to get than din's fire.

A SS/RTA run would probably still use din's fire though.
