When they banned these types of rifles in Australia they debated also banning the sale of all millitary caliber ammo. So if you are going to get one of these you must get a stockpile of ammo too. Don't be suprised if your government tries to force you into selling your guns back to them.

The more americans who own guns and enjoy shooting the less likely they will ever ban guns. If you want to do something for real, think of a gun ignorant or an anti-gun friend and try to get them to go to the range with you. I've gotten lots of people into guns this way. Tell them you're going to shoot pistols but take an AR15 or AK47 also and surprise them with it, they'll love shooting an "assault" rifle and they'll warm up to them.
The way i see it eaven if they got rid of guns there would still be gun related crimes in america. the criminals, who already brake the law, are not gonna be afriad to break another law and keep their guns eaven after the gun ban is made! when this happens all that will ocur is more gun related crime in america because the law abiding citizens will have no way to protect themselves. Well i don't know how it works over there, but here in Australia to change the constitution you need a referendum. The leader of a democratic country can't just change the constitution. As long as there are more gun nuts in your country then gun haters, the referndum won't be passed and guns cannot be banned.

If you want to do something for real, think of a gun ignorant or an anti-gun friend and try to get them to go to the range with you. I've gotten lots of people into guns this way. Tell them you're going to shoot pistols but take an AR15 or AK47 also and surprise them with it, they'll love shooting an "assault" rifle and they'll warm up to them.

Many of these incidents resulted either in the criminal(s) running off or being held and apprehended without shots fired. The estimate is about 2.5 million times a year, but it can't be perfectly accurate because after all, who reports a crime that didn't happen?

You have it backwards, driving is a priviledge, but owning and possesing a firearm and assault rifles is a right and cannot be infringed upon... Taking Americans right to bear arms would cause civil war and everyone knows it...

Its so weird how some people get on here and talk about taking away guns from gun owners like it wasnt part of the constitution. They havnt even shot a gun before, but they talk as if they know whats best for me. I am in Law Enforcement, I would never enforce law abiding citizens to surrender their guns. Actually I would stand with the law abiding citizens to keep their guns.

PWRR ive served in afgan on two tours of duty, i've shot SA80's, GPMG's, barretta's glocks even shot a couple of AK's and i can honestly say you have no idea how idiotic you are!! Shut the fuck up and except there are smarter people who are looking at the bigger picture not just at you cos your upset you'll loose your excuse at not having a girlfriend!!

Well i don't know how it works over there, but here in Australia to change the constitution you need a referendum. The leader of a democratic country can't just change the constitution. As long as there are more gun nuts in your country then gun haters, the referndum won't be passed and guns cannot be banned.

If it WERE to go to a referendum the gun ban would be put in place because there are FAR FAR fewer people who want guns on the street than those who dont!! There is no serious effort to ban or further restrict firearms.
A few morons introduce the same legislation they've been introducing for years - and it gets shot down every time thanks to vigilant citizens letting their representatives and senators know how they feel - but there is no push by the White House.

Would you rather those people be murdered with knives, clubs, or other weapons? It happens in all countries that have strict gun laws and/or no significant gun culture like America. Instead, the murders happen with weapons other than guns, for the most part.
