@MsPrettiBrown Bailey is now 4 but it was an absolute sweetheart from day one. The car ride home was about 3 hours and he was grooming me and stretched out on my lap by the time we got home.

Minnie was born in my home January 2010 and has been nice since birth but just a couple of months she really came into her own and got super sweet, very bonded too me, affectionate, a little stalker who follows me everywhere and lays on the sofa for an hour just like Bailey.

@itachiSeshyLUVA i can't claim any tricks or techniques. i've had house rabbits for over 20 years now and for the most part all of mine are friendly. the boys take the cake though. always more affectionate. all of mine are spayed/neutered (very important to avoid hormonal issues) and they have most of the house to run in, daily interaction etc. i discuss that on my website bunnymomma

@cherlloydlovee well, bailey is everyone's favorite. he just has that one in a million personality. so friendly, affectionate, follows you everywhere, hops up on the sofa lays beside me for an hour, comes down into my shop to find me when i'm missing. grandpa was very friendly when he was young but he is blind and suffers from arthritis. in my 22+ years of having bunnies, boys are always the friendliest.

I have a new baby bunny and i love him a lot, i understand they need a lot of attention and excersise so sometimes we let him just roam areas of the house, but the problem is that he poops so much, i know bunnies poop a lot and its a sign they are healthy but does it get less frequent as they get older? i have to change its chage everyday, i wasnt sure if thats completely normal

baileys behavior is pretty predictable, however, even so we use x-pens when we take them outside. he is allowed to tromp thru the flower garden and after brushing, he runs up the sidewalk to the front door.

I miss my bunnies so much. I had a Holland Lop named Bob, and I absolutely ADORED him!!! He was leash-trained too, and loved to be outside with us. I also had a little bunny named Punkin, who was as sweet and cuddly as could be. When my daughter developed an allergy to them, we had to give them away. It was a very sad day, but they both got great homes! Big Bob is the one we all miss the most. Rabbits are wonderful, if you take the time with them! Our pup loved them, too!

make sure u know all u can aboiut bunnies before u get one and if u get one make sure u never dump it at a shelter or "set it free" cause they wont know how to survive if u set it free and make sure u read lots of info about bunnies

i wish i knew, in the late 80's, we lost so many rabbits. you see education/vet treatment/nutrition were not what they are now. my rabbits rarely lived more than 3 years, so we went thru allot. (back then the vet was even prescribing meds that killed them, they did not know). but. 10 years ago is when it all changed. scoobie lived to be 9. and since then we've had 3 at a time but the "turnover rate" is slow. grandpa (farting bun) is 9 as well.

great vets who really know rabbits are hard to find. we have the best where i live, thankfully!! it's a real specialty and experience is essential.

i only have hollands. i love the breed, personality, size everything. plus certain breeds are prone to certain ailments, once you know what to look for it gets easier to spot issues

i have had tremendous success with all my bunnies being friendly and outgoing but that isn't to say i have some special trick. allot of it is their God given personality. if you check my description you'll see a link to my bunny site and i describe how i personally interact with my bunnies. hope it helps!

yes i do agree with u. it's the bunnies personality that contribute to their friendly + outgoing side. However i do beleive it's the surrounding and love they receive that will show this side out. It's how close and how willing u are to spend time with ur bunnies that he'she's personaility will come through I have a mini lop that thinks his a dog, he attack my dog's tail, chases them, run around people's leg. People do ask me how i get my rab so outgoing and wat can i say."he feels comfortable"

my bunnies have their own bedroom (a vinyl floored jungle gym chucked with boxes, castles, tubes, toys etc.) they only stay in there at night. they are out free during the day and interact with everyone. follow me to the kitchen for breakfast & dinner veggie plate. we have a pen in the yard when the weathers good. they lay on the sofa with me. go on vacations with me. lots of interaction, big part of the family. much more time than some would even be able to do.

Some bunnies don't mind using a leash, others put up quite a protest. The one that I use looks like a little shirt with a hook on the back for the leash you hold. I started by making him wear just the shirt portion, then took him outside and attached the leash. You should see that bunny go, I have to jog the whole time, he's like a homing pigeon and runs right to the front door.

hi my rabbit recently died :( his heart stopped he was a dwarf rabbit i had him since i was 6 now im 13 he lived 7 years which i belive is quite good for a dwarf id like to get a new rabbit and id like to keep him indoor but my mum and dad dont really want me to do u have any idea of what i could say to try and persuade them to let me keep my new friend indoor it will never replace my first rabbit charlie but it will be some1 to love, nurchure, care for and grow up with

well mom's and dad's usually do have the last say so. :) it would depend on what their objection is. Is it smell? Fur? Damage? Space?

If it's simply because they don't know that bunnies can be litter trained or that there are ways of having indoor pens that keep them away from items that might be "tempting" then you could read the stories of other house rabbits owners and use some of that knowledge in your discussion.
