hey whats up i have new vids up yeah and huh im back and huh good to see you again you having a good summer cool well later dude p.s. do you have an ebay store
Wow! That was awesome. I love silent movies, but I also like the sound effects you put in. The animation was awesome. It looks like the way we made our animated cartoon in cartooning class in high school. A still camera taking pictures of each frame. Our cartoons were NOT this good. :)
What;s really cool for me is seeing the old machines and such, too. Winsor McCay was a fanatstic artist and a visionary. Anyone into animation owes a debt to his genius, as he started it all, pretty much. -- Matt
Thanks, Curt! One thing I like to do on the televised version (i.e., "full" episodes) of "The Happy Show!" is to present cool, rare, older film shorts (public domain, natch) to an audience that may not have been exposed to such films before. -- Matt
The early animators were true, skilled artists. Winsor McCay was a true genius and visionary. He is the man that started animated films in America. -- Matt
Hi Magnulus! I approach this from the angle of someone that wants new generations to watch the film without prejudice. Unfortunately, most people won't tolerate a true silent film anymore. If I were coming at this from a more scholarly position, I would certainly try to keep it as authentic as possible. Thanks for commenting! -- Matt
That was some seriously decent animation! Hard to believe that one of the earliest attempts was better than alot of the animation around today! Great vid!
Winsor McCay was a genius and a FANTASTIC artist! He basically created animation in film. If you get the chance, you should hunt down the "Little Nemo in Slumberland" coolections. They are awesome! Thanks! -- Matt
Best watched with the horrid sound effects turned off.

Pretty awesome. Thanks for putting that up, Matt! (would have liked it without the sound effects, though, in the interest of a purer representation.)
