  • so when you full screen something it doesn't full screen all the way on the tv? i'm asking this cuz i'm getting my new lcd tv tomorrow

  • @tokenking420 If you full screen it, it should show on the HDTV too. Unless of course its a setting on your HDTV itself.

  • @ILuvTrading yeah i figured it out, i did the mirror option instead of the extended like you did. it's nice watching my anime on the big screen lol

  • Hey thanks a lot that really helped.

  • Hi, i'm trying to do stop motion using a camcorder connecting to pc so i bought a DVI (Male) to HDMI (Female) converter but is not working. I don't get what's the problem, need help (DESPERATELY) XD

  • it works!!!!!

  • i know this is an odd question but is there a way to get what's on my tv to show up on my laptop screen?

  • My laptop only has the vga for video out. So I got a vga cable with both male ends and just pluged it in right into the vga input on my hdtv for the video which looks perfect then I have a surround amplifier that I wanted to use for good sound so I simply plugged in a identicle anded cable into the laptops headphone jack and the other end of the cable into a audio splitter that had a rca style red and white left/right jacks on one end and a plug like the laptop has on the other. works great

  • Dude my computer is only going through VGA and not the HDMI port, there's no option to switch to HDMI though. What is this?

  • @NexusHUBSH there should be an HDMI option on your HDTV. Look under "input". it should give you choices such as component, hdmi, video, etc...

  • My 3.5mm audio jack to two RCA cable did work with my receiver but not with the hdtv. What could be wrong? I have connected my cable box, surround system, and PS3 connected to my receiver, and plan to keep my netbook connected to the receiver instead of the tv as well, but I just would like to know why it didn't work with the tv but yes with the receiver. And by the way, netbooks have a function key to change the display, so no need to go to personalize>display settings. Thanks for video again!

  • @xBl00dBrothersX my pleasure!

  • subscribed!

  • @xBl00dBrothersX You are the best.. thank you!!

  • @ILuvTrading I have a acer Laptop and a Broksonic flat screen.. i follow all the instructions but when i got my remote to switch to the hdmi channel it wouldnt show up ... i tried hdmi1, AND HDMI2 and i only have those 2.. help pleasee

  • @maine6054 check your hdmi cord, make sure its good.

  • @maine6054 make sure the hdmi i pushed in all the way. I had this problem at first and i couldnt and i orginally thought it was a bad hdmi cable. But then i gave it another push into my hdtv...heard a pop..thought i broker something.. but viola...the display from my latop was on my hdtv.

  • @ILuvTrading Is it possible for one person to use the laptop (with mouse) and another person use the PC (with mouse) at the same time? While still letting the mice cursors cross over screens? Cause I want to record live shows and have it like half tutorial half game play type of thing.

  • @cowboybeepbop1 Hmmm...NO..... But an alternative would be to get a laser pointer so there you can use the mouse and laser pointer.

  • @ILuvTrading Ah.Well hmmmm well could one person use the PC for gaming videos and the other for like tutorials at the same time?

  • @TheFanOfBigBrother Yea, it should!!

  • Hi, great video helped me out a tone but when i plugged my laptop into my tv via hdmi it says format not supported and i have made sure the cord is plugged in all the way but once its plugged in both the laptop and tv screens are black do you have any ideas on how to fix that if so reply thanks. :)

  • @evilscheme1 Hmm...Did you go into your dislpay properties to make the necessary adjustments? if so, try different hdmi ports... if that does not work, then try to use another hdmi cable if you have one... if that dont work, look up your HDTV/Laptop via google to see of others have this issue.

  • @zPsychotic Hmmm.. thats weird because i can wake my laptop up with my external mouse. Look into your mouse settings.

  • Ok. Im going nuts. Im trying to set up my vga laptop to hdmi plasma tv. Anyway will a one cord work...vga at one end , other end hdmi? vga to vga works great on my small tv.

  • @MsHannelore NO! you need a converter then.

  • PLEASE HELP!!! i can see the picture in my tv but sound still do not work. I already went to Properties/SOUND/CHANGE BY DEFAULT TV......(Im using a desktop) THANKKK YOU!!!!

  • @valdez57 Are you using HDMI????

  • i want to ask u about the hdmi when i plug from my laptop to my hdtv its connected but the sound i cant hear the sound coming from my hdtv like just visual and no sound

  • verry helpfull thanks

  • I don't get the option to play the sound through the the HDMI/TV. It is only coming sound from the laptop.

  • @MartiniusMusic Look again into your sound properties. I have set up several of these and the option was always there once the computer was hooked up via HDMI to the TV.

  • why does mine not work in the display settings it's all hooked up but in my tv it ses mode not supported

  • switch to hdmi channel

  • @JamboStudios Are you sure the hdmi is plugged in all the way? Mine didnt work at first until i jammed the hdmi in and heard a click. I thought i broke something, but it worked from there. Go figure...

  • @JamboStudios Just as AirOrdinacel says, switch to the HDMI Channel!!!

  • @ILuvTrading im not an idiot -.- i've done that. it ses mode not supported ?

  • @JamboStudios Well that odd then. Try to use another hdmi cable then. If that dont work then google your hdtv brand and computer to see if others had the issue. If you wish, send your hdtv and computer info and if i have time, ill look for you. But try another cable first. I once had a defective vga cable that kept saying mode not support on a friends HDTV.

  • I had the same problem as you, HDMI cable simply wasn't in quite enough. Confusing as hell at first though since it was still being detected, thanks for the tip.

  • @MuffinVacation My pleasure!

  • thanks @ILuvTrading sound is finally coming out of my tv

  • @liljon1233410 NICE!!! LIKEs and SUB always appreciated guys!!

  • hi, i have a windows 7 & a inspiron 530 computer to a 27" toshiba and i dont get sound (VGA)

  • @SniperzOnlyy Thats because VGA only produces visual. You need an audio cord, or even easier, just get a HDMI cable as it will allow both sound and video from that one wire.

  • forget about that comment i just made i cant think with my brother playing cod

  • 1 more question i ordered a HDMI to VGA HD15 (Male) Cable without looking at the Details and it says NOTE: this cable don't support signal from VCR, COMPUTER or LAPTOP output. so am i fucked and need to order new cable?

  • if i did this with a desktop will it use my tv as my main monitor?

  • @SUPERBU5 Yes you can use it as you main monitor... thats what i do!

  • is it the same for hdmi to vga monitor

  • @ssjgoten202 You will have better quality using hdmi to hdmi. However, some folks really dont even notice a difference using hdmi to vga.

  • what kind of hdmi cable do u have? iluvtrading

  • @kingscross30 I have several different brands... they all work the same!!

  • @ILuvTrading what about vga if you don't have hdmi cord

  • what kind of hdmi cable do u have? iluvtrading

  • Hi, i want to buy a U2410 Dell monitor and connect it to my laptop to a ati mobility radeon hd 4650. Does anyone know if i'm gonna get full resolution or have any problems?? i have an HDMI port and a VGA on my laptop. please respond.

  • @ILuvTrading 1 VGA and the video card is integrated in the CPU so i will wait and get better video and graphics card in the future

  • if i use a vga spliter and have one vga cable go to my monitor and second to my hdtv will the tv act as a 2nd monitor??

  • @MegaHightechredneck ...If you are using a computer your video card has to support two monitors via one VGA port. However, it is most likely that your video card does not support this. using a VGA splitter will only give you a mirror image. In other words, whatever is on your computer will show on your TV too (a mirror image). Any more qu's.. just let me know. THUMBS UP on this video is apprecated too....thx...Virgil

  • Hi there

Great info you are given but i need to connect from PC to Sony LCD TV. But i dont have hdmi port in my pc. pls suggest how can i get this done both sound n picture in my LCD TV

    Thanks in advance

  • @arjun2907 --- hello there. i would suggest for you to get a VGA to HDMI Cable then. You can get it for about $5 on ebay. Go to ebay and in the search box type "6 ft VGA to HDMI Cable". Please give thumbs up on this video. And let me know if you have any other qu's. thx.....Virgil

  • Nice video!

  • Thank you! Great help i thumbed up the video :D

  • @JontoHD Thanks for the thumbs up Jonto!

  • mine still doesn't work : /

  • @KILLERxPOPSHOTx -- make sure the HDMI connector is pushed in enough on your laptop/PC as well as on your HDTV. I had this probelm orginally and kept getting "no signal" until I pushed the cable in a little further. If this does not help, let me know whats showing on your screen. thx..Virgil

  • @ILuvTrading i tried pushing it in more, my pc isnt picking the tv up and it says no signal on the tv screen

  • @KILLERxPOPSHOTx --- did you go into your input setting on your HDTV and choose HDMI?

  • @ILuvTrading ..YUP! I sure did.

  • Also if i dont want my laptop an TV to dual screen what do i do, because i just want my laptop to be closed and use my computer screen as my monitor.

  • @JontoHD -- good question... I just did it! Go into your display properties and select your HDTV under "display" than under 'Multiple displays" Choose what number your HDTV is on. Mine is on 2 "Show desktop only on 2". Let me know if you still need assistance. thx...Virgil

PS. Please give me the thumbs up if this video was helpful at all. I may do many more of these how to videos. thx again...Virgil

  • What does a HDMI port look like?

  • @JontoHD --Look at 2:33 time on the video. You can see it there. thx.

  • Thanks man..but is there a way for "dual sound" like one for the other screen and a default from the laptop?

  • @denniss4000 -- Hi, as far as i know, you can only have audio come out from one output at a time. So you can either have the audio come from either your TV or laptop/computer..thx Virgil
