  • This man just saved me HUNDREDS of dollars.

    Subscribed.

  • You're the MAN Scotty!!!! Thank you very much for ''all'' your very helpful and educational videos!!!

  • How can you tell if your intake gasket is bad? Or if your heads are warped?

  • @182deuce use a smoke machine to check for leaks in the intake, and do my video "how to find out if your head gasket is blown" for head problems.

  • How do you fix squeaky steering on 02 Taurus

  • @tbbbkb if it's inside the car, often plastic rubbing inside, or the universal joint on the steering wheel shaft going out. Remove the plastic covering and find out what's making it if inside the car.

  • This doesn't hurt the rubber at? For instance I know spraying a polymer based grease on rubber can break down the rubber over time..

  • @BORN2LOSE13 it's not grease, I've used it for decades, it works great on rubber products.

  • Can this product be used on CV boots to prevent the neoprene boots from cracking overtime ?

  • @Dicofole yes, use it on any Rubber based product.

  • I use armor all!

  • Please tell me how to fix the problem as mechanics do.

what you are doing is product marketing.

Please go back to the basics.

  • @swleeca No, I'm showing how to fix squeaks on modern cheaply made cars that don't use grease fittings anymore. If there is no play on the suspension, rubber bushings get noisy with age. No sense replacing em if they aren't cracked and broken.

  • Scotty, I have a 2001 audi a6. Makes a fluttering/kackling sound when driven. Sounds like the bike you rev up in your video, but coming from the engine area. It only makes the noise when I actually push the gas pedal and drive, it doesn't do it in park or a neutral rev up. And it doesn't do it when I coast either. Any ideas? Its throwing a po507 code and the epc illuminates in the "on" position, but cuts off once the engine is started. PLEASE HELP! Its embarrassing for such a nice looking car.

  • @ray6639 audis=endless money pits as they age. Yours is over 10 years old, when they really start to fall apart. Tons of things can do that, try my video "finding the source of car noises" by typing that in the search on the scottykilmer channel on youtube. Then find someone with that machine, or buy one, they're just a little over a hundred bucks.

  • hey if my rear end of the car is squeaking when i hit a dip does that necessarily mean the struts need to be replaced? and where can i get that 205 because i cant seem to find it

  • @RobertoFTW lots of things can cause squeaking. I get the fluid at amazon.com they always have it.

  • by the way my oil and engine light are both on.

  • hi scotty, can i use at 205 for squaking belt, my belt is driving me nut.and one more question, which is better , adding at 205 to the oil engine from the oil cap or through the oil level stick.(concerning oil engine leak) .

  • @premechanic1 add it at the oil cap, but don't put it on the belts, belts just need replacing if they squeak.

  • Your the best, hard to find a mechanic like you these days!

  • Would you recommend spraying this stuff on a rubber transmission mount as well? Mine is worn out, and I want to replace it, but I can't afford to right now. So, I hope that this stuff can do the job for the time being.

  • @suddnstar yes, it works great on ALL rubber parts.

  • is that squeak the same it hears when you turn the direction to one side sometimes??

  • @JCBernal89 yes it can be.

  • Is this AT 205 going to work if i fill it with my engine oil to restore some of the rubber elements there that are leaking engine oil? Because my engine burns oil and my car is old one so i don't think its worth to repair the engine.

  • @Vandwo it can fix oil seal leaks, but not oil gasket leaks, so it depends what's leaking

  • i got 2 questions can u take the plugs out of ball joints and add fittings? and also could the at 205 cuz the bushings to crack quicker

  • @26dolla No, not if they weren't designed for a fitting.

  • im defs gonna try this

  • scotty thanks for the advice i got that produt and it really works !!!!!!!!!thanx men

  • ur videos are awesome thanks

  • omg i really wish i saw this video earlyer, i spend over 1.2 grand replacing bushings...

  • do you mix with water the AT-205

  • @djlaser123 no

  • Is it true it stops leaks too?

  • @Filmaker25 yes, on rubber seals it works miracles.

  • Haha. That "squeaking" was really AIM

  • would it rejuvenate tires sidewalls from those cracks it get

  • @chova1123 no, once cracked tires are shot. scotty

  • Dude try amazon that's where I get mines

  • were can i get that AT205 reseal, How Much does it cost, and can i spray it directly on the strut and shocks itself?

  • @moeramz yes, amazon.com, don't know the cost offhand, and spray it on anything rubber.

  • That was cool, thanks.

  • Hey scotty, can i spray this on the bushing and drive it right away?

  • @contagiousFX yep, I do that all the time. Scotty

  • you ever used brake fluid i hear its good for rubber

  • @scotttufts NO NO NO, it rots rubber, don't do that. Scotty

  • I have creeking and knocking in my front end when i corner and go over bumps. Could that be ball joints or suspension problems? I have an '01 Nissan Maxima. Is the ball joint job costly?

  • @jagrmari ball joints clunk , they don't squeak. Often bushings squeak, try spraying em all with WD 40, and if it goes away, that's it, means nothing. You can live with it or keep spraying every so often. scotty

  • @scottykilmer Hi Scotty. The reason i asked about the front end noise is because a balljoint on my previous car (chevy lumina) let go when i was driving, and it was scary. The noise i'm hearing now is hauntingly familiar. Would you notice any uneven wear on the tire because of that too?

  • Fucking awesome. Thanks

  • PB Blaster is good at soaking into stuff I might try that.

  • @200twistatwista Yes, but that's basically spray kerosene which will wash off in the rain., This stuff actually permeates the rubber and rejuventates it. Lasting much longer. Scotty

  • Hey Scotty, where can I get that stuff?

  • @13FravelJ hard to find, I get it at amazon.com. Sctty

  • @scottykilmer How much is it?

is there any more common stuff that works as good that I could get in stores?

  • @13FravelJ No, it's the only thing like that, just see what amazon.com sells it for. Scotty

  • Is this the same stuff you use for the camshaft seal leak? I used that for my car and the oil leak stopped. I'm wondering if this would work for my Audi allroad air suspension to avoid having leaks on the rubber which is very costly to replace.

  • @prolene1971 Yep, same stuff, because it rejuvenates rubber. Scotty

  • hey man i really like this video. its like a commercial. very informative. thanks alot man

  • Will it blend?

  • @sskoul yes, it's a polymer and blends with most oils. Scotty

  • i cant find this brand in my local car acc store... what is the product actually? what should i be looking for when im in the local car acc shop?

  • @NEVERENDS90 It's called AT 205 reseal, I get it at amazon.com, it's not easy to find, companies like selling expensive suspension parts, not a bottle of resealer. Scotty

  • scotty thank you very much for uploading this it really helped alot!!!

  • if you car is up on a jack do not just drop the car you will break some thing

  • @crazeguy26 You can't drive it if you don't put it back down. I've been jacking em up for 43 years, and haven't broken anything yet letting them down. Scotty

  • can u do a how to video on how to fix a squeeking belt or something, i dont know anything about cars but i changed my car's belt 5 months ago becuz of the squeeks, but now it return... the squeek only appears everytime i start the car, and gradually dissappear.... sometimes when the weather is cold the sound is really loud.. pls help me

  • @cavanfamily12345 watch my video called "Everything you wanted to know about fan belts". Odds are you need to tighten it up, they stretch over time. Scotty

  • Are there any local parts stores that sell the lubricant? My '87 Camaro squeeks over every bump in the road and it's kind of embarassing.

  • @87IROCZOwner I get it at amazon.com. They sell the stuff. Scotty

  • @adiggz Hey, it's a JAG, I'd just live with it. But it would be a good idea to change the pads and rotors if the rotors have a ridge on them. Scotty

  • someone trying to be the next stacy davids? :P just wondering...

  • @jacktheripper0194 I don't even know who the hell stacy davids is. Scotty

  • my car is doing a noise in the steering column like an old door, just when turning left, its an Accord 06, help me please!!

  • @thiagofsvieira bearings and plastic parts int he colum make noise, spray some WD 40 in there. Scotty

  • Scotty I Cannot Get That Spray In The United Kingdom Is There A Better Alternative?

  • @KiranTaker270 I get it at amazon.com, maybe try that. If not, try WD 40 though it doesn't work or last long. Scotty

  • hahaha just spray the whole car!!!

  • thanks scotty, with all these tutorials , im sure iam gonna be a mechanic for my car..for a start..

  • hey scotty how do you stop sqeaks in the rear shockers then and what to use and spray where?makes noise when pushing up and down on the rear boot cheers:)

  • Scotty, will I be able to spray those fitting without taking the wheel off; is there a way reach around? or should I take it off?? (sorry, if this is a stupid question; Im not really a car guy)

  • @rightlydivide take the wheel off, don't try to be lazy. scotty

  • @scottykilmer oh, its not lazy-ness, I just dont have any equipment. Well, I needed a good excuse to get a jack anyway, so now I have another one. Hey, can you recommend a good jack to buy??? I've seen some at the Auto part store, and they look really cheap. thoughts?

  • hi scotty do you put this at205 straight to the spray bottle? no mixin? thanks!!

  • @whitephantom3000 Yep, 100 percent, don't mix it. Scotty

  • The car in this video isn't squeaking, it's playing the "buddy online" sound effect from AIM.

  • @cinnamondouche No, it really was squeaking. I film these videos as I fix actual cars. Scotty

  • scottykilmer, can it be used in gas tank ? too fix seals in weak fuel pump ?

  • @tubeshok No, it would not work there. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer HAAAAHAAAHAAAHA

  • This guy is funny as shit! You better beieve im using this on my acura

  • scotty! my 2002 sebring makes a really annoying noise when i turn the car heating on , what could be the problem? ..could it be the fans?

  • @301807137 Whatever you think is making the noise, unplug it, or in the case of fan belts, remove the belts. When the noise goes away, you hit the spot. Scotty

  • scotty rules!!!

  • i live in queens new york where can i buy at 205?

  • @Blackenstein817 Just google it, or go to atp-inc.com Scotty

  • Hey scotty, I have a squealing noise from my brakes. But it's not because of the pads. It's a camry so the back ones are the ones that are squeaking and they are brake shoes. I checked and there were a lot of "meat" left on those shoes but i changed them anyways. Brake rotors were resurfaced but i changed them anyways as well. It still squeaks. The mechanic says i brake softly so that the pads don't worn out equally and the shoes become uneven.

  • @BuyMEaDriNk43 I wanna know what it is.

  • @BuyMEaDriNk43 Squeaking is either poorly made pads, or bad rotors. I know you put new ones on, but sometimes they are poorly made also; Quality pads and quality rotors never squeal. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer

What would you consider quality rotors/pads?

  • Dude...I just totally love your videos!!!

  • This sounds like what I need. I found AT-205 comes in aersol.

    Thanks Scotty!

  • what make ur car squeak when turn a sharp corner could it be a cv axel or some thing else cuse it came out like n da front of da car but i dont relly know but i had change da wheel bearing / hub assembly n da front let me know alright k

  • Hi, why my brakes squeal if i just rectified the 4 discs. And only happens when they are hot (not extremely) but never sound when the discs are cold. I got Gtr 34 Ventilated discs. It is driving me crazy. Also i got ceramic pads Vortex pads...I don't know what to do...

  • @EADPE Vented discs often make noise, period. I assume you mean you had the discs turned, which you really shouldn't do with ventilated discs. You should just replace them if noise is a concern. Scotty

  • Scotty,

Does this AT 205 works for transmission leaks, engine leaks, and power steering leaks also?? If so, how does one uses it? Do you pour it into the crankcase for engine leaks and how much ? Please advise. Thank You........

  • @hdps99 Yes, engine and transmission leaks, put the whole bottle in. Power steering, first try about 3 ounces. Scotty

  • Hi Scotty

I cant find AT-205 in my city, so i used Power Steering Stop Leak instead, it says it can revitalize o-ring and seals, will it work on rubber bushings?

  • lol man you kill me when you drop off (car) things just like that hahahaha you are the man scotty

  • Could'nt you also use liquid wrench

  • @tvboston1 You can, but it will just wash off the first big rain . This AT 205 actually soaks in to the rubber parts and makes them pliable again., Scotty Kilmer

  • I also used the same Material as is advised (or probably advertised) in this video on my Grand prix and I sprayed over all rubber bushings under car until bottle finished and also in struts. But it did not reduce squeaks at all. This material was not available in my Area So I called main office in USA and asked them from where I can get it. They gave me address. I bought IT, used it but all useless

  • @FictionsBlaster I beg to differ, this stuff works great, I've used it for years. Now squeaks can come from MANY different things, some of which are worn bushings, some of which are rubbing or broken metal parts. This of course will not stop noises from broken metal parts or metal to metal rubbing. It's not magic in a bottle, it's a tool to use to quiet rubber bushing noise. You obviously have a bigger problem than that. I'd advise having some who knows about cars fix it. Scotty

  • I have grand AM 2001 SE V6. I dis exactly what this mechanic has told in his video. I bought the sample Material in 17 Dollar and used in all rubber bushing.

No benefit at all. Squeak is as It was. I think he is adverting that Material which is useless. I have tried full bottle in exact same way as he has told in this video but no any success

  • I assume you put in a used engine, and odds are it's worn internally making it smoke at high rpms. forget racing around in a car that old, my son's got a 93 I just fixed up for him and I tell him not to over revv it, as it's old. There are a million suspension bushings back there that can squeak, but if something it rubbing, you will see shiny metal where it's rubbing, Scotty Kilmer

  • hey scotty

i have a 93 toyota celica and the back left part of my suspension is squeaking/rubbing. im not sure whic it is, all i know is that its annoying and doesnt sound to good. i can try and get a video and reply to yours with it to see if you can figure it out. also.. my head gasket and engine was just replaced, but now the exhaust smokes when the rpm goes above 4500. any thoughts on that? thanks in advance.

    Josh

  • Hey Scotty,

I have a 96 Dodge ram pickup truck.

It's recently been making extremely loud creaks whenever I hit even the smallest bump.

When I jump on the right rear side of the bed, it doesnt squek, but on the left side it squeaks extremely loud.

I'm pretty sure it's the rear left shock, but I'm not sure.

    Any help/advice?

  • Shocks themselves don't squeak, but the bushings holding them on can. So, just remove the shock and if the noise goes away when you push on it, replace the shock bushings and or the shock if it's worn out. If it still squeaks, then some other bushing or spring is the culprit. Scotty Kilmer

  • Hey Scotty,

I just wanted to let you know what's up. So I sprayed half a can of the stuff on the suspected bushing, and then a week later I sprayed the rest of the can of it on the bushing. I hadn't noticed any changed in the squeak at this point. However, I think after it had another week to work into the rubber, the noise went away completely! I'm going to work this spray into each oil change to make sure it stays that way! My squeak was so bad my neighbors knew when I was coming home!!

  • Told you the stuff works, it amazes the heck out of me what that watery liquid can do. Scotty Kilmer

  • where can u buy this and all those gasket sealers and that steel seal at? what kind of sealer can i use to seal leaks in the A/C system i was told it can be the Evap radiator leaking whivh the entire dash needs to be taken off to get at so how can i get sealer into the evap rad to seal leaks?

  • I bought the AT 205 reseal off amazon. I don't know about the rest of your inquiries though, sorry.

  • lol, not bad but.

thats a control arm not a A frame.

and sway bar not torsion bar.

  • A frame, control arm, just different names for the same thing. Same thing for sway bars and torsion bars, just different names for the same things. Scotty

  • How long does it take this stuff to work. I just bought some off amazon and I'm going to try it next week. Should I just spray it on at night and leave it alone for the night?

  • Yep, if you let it soak in overnight it will work best. Scotty Kilmer

  • I've got a couple of squeaks. One is when I turn the steering wheel back and forth it squeaks. Moreso when I turn it to the right. I popped the hood and I noticed this bar that turns when I turn the wheel. Is this the right spot to spray? Another squeak is when I push up and down on the left front of the vehicle. I noticed a big spring looking thing behind the wheel with a rubber piece. Is that rubber piece a bushing to spray down? Thanks in advance and a fast response too!

  • Let me add, I've taken it to 2 different mechanics and one of them sprayed "lube" (his words) all over the bushings and it didn't do a thing. The other said the bushings needed to be replaced to fix the squeak but there wasn't a safety issue. Your thoughts?

  • It could be a bushing that needs replacing as they can just come apart and wear out. BUT, you'd be able to see that. If it's just a squeak, it's nothing to worry about as long as there's no play in the suspension system. And you can spray every single rubber part on the suspension, because any of them can be making noise, from the strut rubber parts to any bushing. Scotty Kilmer

  • can you buy that in canada

  • @VIheavyequipment - I checked their website for a canadian dealer and couldn't find one. That doesn't mean some local garage doesn't have it. I know Canadian tire doesn't carry it.

  • WTF'S AN EMMY

  • An EMMY is an award given for outstanding work in media. I received mine for outstanding interactivity on the internet (making videos and answering viewer's questions--like this one.) Scotty Kilmer

  • I wish fixing broken strut mounts was as easy. I hate the clunking a car of mine makes when going down a bumpy road.

As long as I am in there I might as well do the struts, boots, and spring seats. Not too hard but a PITA.

Where can you buy this stuff you used in the video?

  • Thats a cool product, however, how long does the effect last?

  • It can last for quite some time, I've done some cars that stopped the creaking for over a year (then you just spray some more on.) Scotty Kilmer

  • Make sure you dont get the spray onto the brake disks. No brakes.

  • Where in the world can I buy this stuff?? I just checked at two auto parts stores today. Neither one, including Autozone has it. In fact, the guy at Autozone said "I've never heard of such a thing".

Do I have to order it online or something?

  • seriously, I have now been to 3 places. No one has heard of it.

  • do you know if that is for sale in the UK or is there something else i could use?

  • I wished there was a spray to make my Intrepid disappear:)

  • You and a whole bunch of others. Even my grandfather disliked Chrysler products (he was also a mechanic) and if he were alive today, he'd probably think even less of them. Scotty Kilmer

  • I agree Scotty, it's parked because due to safety concerns and I'm replacing it in about a month b/c it's such a piece of crap (a 2003 with the 2.7 liter) Any suggestions on a good family car for about $7000?. I'm going to be paying cash and can't afford a new Camry (I wish) much make payments again.

  • Well then, just buy a used Camry. Any year, they all were made fine. But I'd go with a four banger cause those engines last the longest and get the best gas mileage. scotty kilmer

  • Thank you for answering Scotty, I love watching your videos, you're the man.

  • Good Info !

  • haha awesome spraying part with "thanks to a little spray" !!! that was creative. Great video.

  • That's pretty cool. Does that restore the functionality of the rubber too?

I've got a terrible squeak coming from my front tie rod. The mechanic says it's not too bad yet, but will have to be replaced.

If this stuff stops the squeaks, will it just cover up the problem?

  • ya that's what i want to know too. Does it also really rejuvenate ?

  • Yes, it does restore the functionality of squeaking rubber. Now if your tie rod has play in it so that it wiggles back and forth when you pull on the wheel, it needs replacing. BUT, if it has no play, spraying it would be the way to go. Scotty Kilmer

  • cool thanks!

  • 2:20 what did you do

  • @dirtbikr33 So did ya find some i'm in new brunswick every U.S site including amazon i try to get to ship to me says no shipping available in my location ..man what a time looking for this stuff ,my 96 windstar is in dire need of it,either this or drop the tranny to get that darn seal..i'll keep looking

  • AT 205... im wondering if this product is sold in canada, i had this problem on my 99 cavalier and i just used brake fluid seemed to work but just like you said. it acted like wd-40 and washed off when i went to the car wash. I would like to find some of this at205 reseal in canada has anyone seen any and where?
