Samus defeated Metroid Prime. In desperation it attached itself to her to try and take her with the it, but only ripped the Phazon Suit from her. The remaining cells of MP used the suit and Samus' DNA to form a new body and started searching for Phazon to give her (Samus' DNA?) power and new strength. You see her getting stronger in MP2 and over-exposed at the end. She eventually comes back and you'll find out what she did after that when you scan the logs at SPHQ (Space Pirate Headquarters).

Sidenote: If you notice from MP2 & 3, you'll notice the copying of former suit-styles (Varia suit in MP2 and a variance of the Light Suit in MP3). The over-exposed DS in the final boss fight in MP2 shows what she looks like underneath the armor. Since MP took Samus DNA to make the new body, it's likely to be female (The Pirate logs in 3 also adds to that). DS's Phazon is unique, because it can make anyone infected slowly become obedient to her (The fact the other Hunters turn on you is a sign).

A hunter who followed Samus all time through the Prime Series. I hope Retro Studios will show us this guy in the next Metroid title, maybe a 3rd-person game, that would be interesting. 2 Metroid titles for Gamecube, 2 Metroid titles for Wii, that sounds fair. ;-)

Nintendo should create a Sequel to Fusion for DS not later than 2010. It is supposed to have the best 2D graphics a Metroid game will ever have.

I believe that was Sylux. Dark Samus never used a ship as far as we know. All that aside though love the video. Great choice of music.

there's no way of knowing who's in the ship at the end of Prime 3. Fact is, Dark Samus CAN NOT be alive after Prime 3 as all Phazon is gone.

@HowNotToRap That's definitely not Sylux's ship. Look up a picture of it. I thought the same thing, but after comparing the 2, I'm sure its someone else's. It is possibly Dark Samus', being added in allows Nintendo to think about if they really want to get rid of Dark Samus just.
