I've been trying to have an OBE but I'm concerned that if I do manage it that somehow it might cause damage to my brain. Isn't there some kind of ripping sound. Why the Holy water? Are you concerned about your body being hijacked while your out of it? The only thing I know of that has an effect on Demons is the Lord's Name, Prayers and Hymns. I think it's just your heart that needs purification. Well maybe you should go into the spirit through prayer somehow. As John the Apostle did.

I don't get it, the church is AGAINST any sort of occult/esoteric practices. OOBE is something against christianity. If it wasn't, then they wouldn't preach so much heaven or hell because OOBE is pretty much what happens after death, it busts the myth of heaven and hell. @shootingstarskycats Absolutely should not attempt this, my dear one. If you don't believe in God and attempt to do this, the other side of the spectrum could come and visit you. I'd suggest you start with something much simpler. Read the New Testament with a sincere heart. That will do more for you at this point.

And the understanding of who God is goes way beyond what any of our small human minds can comprehend - it goes into galactic understanding and certainly well beyond.

@imundiath Since Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Jacob, Jesus, all the Apostles experienced out-of-body experiences, I seriously don't think so. Especially since most of our scriptures including the Revelation of St. John were acquired through such experiences, as well. But of course, different people view this differently. Perhaps the word mysticism - which means the same thing - would be more comfortable for some.

On tuesday i tried it during the day( i made sure i was tired) and i'm still in awe that it worked. I think i felt more comfortable doing it with sunlight coming into my room so I didn't panic in the dark. I would recommend trying it in daylight first.

As for how vivid and how real it is to you depends on your energy and how well you re-enter your body on your return to your body. In my OBE's I seem to be wearing the same clothes I'm sleeping in. I just float around in the room, so I don't care what I'm wearing, but if I ever travel to some celestial world I want to be dressed in the proper attire. You aren't dressed in the astral realm necessarily in what you are wearing in the physical. I'm often in white . . . or wearing a garment in a color that fits where I'm traveling to.

@KRISTENAM2 "GOD" doesn't believe anything is evil. It's all subjective to the conscience being. OBEing is a natural thing we do when we all go 2 sleep but unless you will your self to be conscience while you enter that sleep/awake state you don't remember the separation. I used to be really into the bible and study it until I opened up spiritually and found what is my truth. Fear is a negative vibration that you don't need in your life. You don't need to be scared.

In 'Galactica: A Treatise on Death, Dying and the Afterlife' we follow the journey of a close friend of mine who committed suicide after death in some detail. But I wrote about a few other suicides in 'The Mysteries of the Redemption' and others. Check them out. What happens to us after death has to do with our hearts,only God knows the heart of a man. But in summary, there is a purification process . . .

Yes, they do. I have a friend I've known since childhood who recently reminded me of a time that this happened to the two of us. Yes, it does happen. But that's not what the focus of the experience really is, you have to focus on the purpose to really find meaning.

I learned to astral project thru the third eye while awake, but I also use The Star Of David, but this is only while asleep(i go thru it and I'm lucid). I assume they are the same. Meditation is necessary, because I didn't use it @ first when I started @ 16 years and I had mental stress and confusion for about several months until I learned to meditate on my breath. Works Great! Anyway, glad you found your way.
