  • Almost, not quite, big band rock and roll; which is one of the things so great about it. Good time, teen dance hall rock and roll.

  • @zbelzanger Big Band Rock and Roll... hmmm, that's not that bad of a word for it, but early 60's Pop'll do ;)

  • "He told her when it comes to kissin' he was nuthin but a kissin' fool. She started to giggle & he told her he'd teach her things she never learned in school". Go Jimmy Go!! Priceless oldies lyrics

  • Jimmy was so cute

  • "She told me when it came to ****in', I was the best ****** in the land."

"Well, she dragged me down to a room down the hall, and then she grabbed my ****."

"And she said, go Jimmy go!"****."

  • YEAH JIMMY GO JIMMY GO

  • 50 years ago! I remember in 1960 something from 50 years ago (1910, the year Halley's Comet appeared) seemed ancient! I mean, WWI (1917) hadn't even taken place yet. The TItanic hadn't sank yet (1912)! It's just blows my mind that 50 years have passed since Go Jimmy Go. It almost seems like a dream, it's becoming so vague and in black and white in my mind now. Oh, what a great time to be living in 1960. What in the hell happened since then!

  • "She started to giggle when I told her that I'd teach her things she never learned at school. And, she said, "go, Jimmy, go." Great song. Danced many a mile to this one. Too bad you cut it off at the end.

  • I remember the movie, that the song was the title of the movie. Great music from a long ago era.

  • This song was in the top 10 in the world charts in 1960

  • All I can say is one thing!

    GO JIMMY GO!

  • This song was 50 years ago no.8 in the world charts

  • Great music like this is timeless -- it never gets old!

  • That song was a hit in many record hops and sock hops at that time.

  • This was way before my time, but what an awesome song!!

  • Marley had his version with the Wailing Wailers in 1964...very old classic, it never dies...

  • For some reason I have just discovered the music of jimmy clanton, and i`m impressed,in fact very impressed.

  • Just saw him last night at Primm Nevada in the Desert Arena (8-21-09). He was great. Took me back to my teen years.

  • Had to know his music to keep up with the fast pace of this song, he's great, i remember wearing out a 45rpm record of this song and i'm a guy. great to dance to!

  • My #1 favorite from Jimmy Clanton! Thanks for having this one partner!

  • I had such a huge crush on this little guy when I was in high school. I thought he had the coolest hair! I still remember how quickly the dance floor would fill up when this hoppin' little tune hit the speakers. I hear it while typing this and I'm actually bouncing along with the beat.

    Thank you very much!
