One of my all-time favorite Muse B-sides. Makes me think of mad scientists, twisted experiments, and dystopian sci-fi novels. Nice job on the scratchies, I've always wondered how to get that perfect.
Normally I'd say that's an odd way to make a smamish but she has a nice body and can play guitar quite well so I'm not going to say anything and see what happens -:3!
hey, I love your cover! Can you tell me what is that thing you do for example at 0:20, when you hit the strings on the other side of the nut? Is that Bellamy's signature trick or what :)
@ThatsOneLoudDog thanks! :) erm, i dont know the offical name for it, i call it 'nut thrashing' but thats just me. Its really hard to do on a Les Paul, much easier on a headstock with all 6 nuts in a row :) you just basically thrash the nuts with your pick. cant really explain it!
@olivia94tennis I don't even know how you manage to do it on a Les Paul! I can only do it in Stratocaster/Telecaster like headstocks! You're amazing! :D
@olivia94tennis i do that thing (nut thrashing like you call it) in the nut of A string and the harmonic sounds cooool :3 about my english sorry u.u hahaha really good coveer :)
@ThatsOneLoudDog There's no official name for it, though "third bridge playing" or "playing strings beyond the nut" would be appropriate ways of naming it. Also, it's not Bellamy's, though he does it a lot, but a lot of guitarists are know of using this, for example, Tom Morello or Sonic Youth (in they first albums) use it a lot. :P
The "nut trashing" is sick!
