Once they secured Hart they should ask him questions about the report of shots fired.....anyone else on the property or in the house....basic investigative questions. They completely violated the law when they entered his house because they had no probable cause to enter.

I may be wrong but, what happened to the days of cops standing around waiting for the all important warrant to enter the building? There clearly wasn't probable cause, ie: scream, yells for help, fire, for the officers to enter the facility immediately. What a bunch of power tripping 4th amendment tramping public employees.

i've had my 4th amendment right violated once before by officers like these. and yesterday 3 cops came to my door and damn near pulled the same thing, but luckily i had learned from my first experience and didn't let them in. they think they can get away with whatever the hell they want, which sadly they can to some extent. it's completely backwards, but nobody seems to be keeping a watch on these power-tripping police. must be something about putting the uniform on that does it.

DA's only protect police criminality. If the cops had blown his head off for no reason, the police and DA would have said that it was justifiable. The victim, and anyone who has seen this video, is able to present criminal charges directly to the grand jury to seek indictment. Citizen grand juries are very powerful and aren't bound by the DA's corrupt decisions. If your rights were violated they'll indict. First of all an acre of land is small. To someone in the city it might seem like a huge farm but it's not really enough land to shoot a rifle. Second, This is what happens when you have police trained in a major city working in rural areas. A rifle being fired to someone raised in the city (police officer) might sound like a major call on the radio. To others it's a way of life in the country. Anyone firing a 22. rifle openly on even 2 acres of land with homes on either side without a berm is just a asking for an accident to happen.

These cops are NOT doing their job. Police officers take an Oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. By searching the gun safe WITHOUT a warrant, they violated that Oath and need to be punished. The lady who called in the "shooting" was heavily intoxicated and wasn't even for Matt Hart's shooting. What she heard were some hunters to the rear of her home but was to smashed to tell the difference. What Matt Hart was doing is legal to do. No charges were needed especially wrong ones.
