Stylistically I can't think where they'd fit in unless you use more than one sub-genre prefix (which you don't need unless you're extremely anal and pedantic)

i listen to alot of metalcore bands, still remains, the occasional bfmv song, ectomorph, those are just a few of the metalcore bands i listen to, and trivium sound nothing like them. and in a way when it comes to music i am narrow minded because i only listen to metal, anything that is metal though, i dont listen to computerised r'n'b shit, but i don't go round taking the piss out of those, as it may offend someone, call me light hearted, i don't give a shit..

The whole point of these videos is that if you wanted to....you could.....and any fans of it shouldn't really give a toss because at the end of the day it's JUST music. I find a lot of FM synthesis techniques, MIDI synchronisation, sampling, isolating certain parts as well as mixing a bunch of sounds which have completely different timbres HARDER than picking up a guitar and throwing a few riffs together.

Well to tell the truth most of these videos were made within a month of each other (July 2006) The first one was an experiment...the 2nd one (the Trivium one) seemed to be ridiculously popular....I gave people what they wanted.

Funnily enough back in '05 when we were just a few guy messing about in the back room of our youth club we used to play a metal version of "Jenny was a friend of mine" just because the bassline is so much fun to play.

I think defending trivium and their ilk makes it sound as if you have no idea what YOU'RE talking about....they really are just pretty bland and boring as metal goes. Nothing special.

Also both Trivium and KSE are metalcore. This is not to say they sound IDENTICAL because it's kind of EXPECTED for 2 different bands to sound...different (even within the same genre)
Let me ask you if they're not metalcore, what are they.....certainly not thrash, one listen to any Kreator album will sort that confusion out for you.
Stylistically I can't think where they'd fit in unless you use more than one sub-genre prefix (which you don't need unless you're extremely anal and pedantic)

I find a lot of FM synthesis techniques, MIDI synchronisation, sampling, isolating certain parts as well as mixing a bunch of sounds which have completely different timbres HARDER than picking up a guitar and throwing a few riffs together.
In terms of skill and technicality, breakcore shits on even the most extreme forms of metal any day of the week.

Well to tell the truth most of these videos were made within a month of each other (July 2006) The first one was an experiment...the 2nd one (the Trivium one) seemed to be ridiculously popular....I gave people what they wanted.

Why is it that in this video no one is bitching and complaing like the trivium apology and sucking up.I'm not saying its bad but i think the funniest parts is seeing everyone try to say their band isnt crap because it usually goes along the lines of "Your a fucking fag..." or "They are the best band so shut up.." or my favorite "this sucks all your videos suck..." (then they go watch another of your videos).You can't tell me reading some of the comments does not add to the video.

i like heavy metal... but the good heavy metal (iron maiden, judas priest, black sabbath, etc.) not the shit these days they call "heavy metal" which is just an emo screaming (badly) about how much there life sucks. sure there are a few good bands out there still making original good metal music but these emo posers shouldnt be taking that away. doesnt screamo stand for "screaming emo" anyways?...

Personally I find a lot of dance music shares a lot of characteristics in common with Metal (Fast Bass drums, thick 'heavy' instruments).
I guess you have a bunch of bands who work in both styles as well (The Berzerker, Pitchshifter etc.)

DUDE i have to say that i know that Emo is in but some metalcore bands are good the vast minority bus still 1 or 2 are good. As for trivium they are a good band and I really have to say that u are GREAT at pissing people of. Grats man on pissing off the emos (I really mean that)

you see when a band or something puts out something and they gain a lot of popularity,they also gain a lot of haters.I've seen this with Slipknot.The thing is that in order to keep rollin' in the big bucks they have to have a good ratio of fans to haters.ya see with you the ratio isn't too good.I've seen like 2 people go "ya paroinayayadave rules".If you were to release a dvd of your vids,you'd be broke in a week.plus legally if you'd have to pay the bands you hate so much.

lets put it this way....from what I've seen the people who don't say anythign generally like it. On the internet it seems people will only leave a comment if they dislike something.
To back this up I've met about 50 people in REAL LIFE who love my work...and not a single person who doesn't

well i see what you mean but still if i see a vid i rly like or somethin' i usually leave a short comment like "awesome" or somethin.i think the people that don't say anything are generally nuetral about the situation and don't know if they like the band or not yet.i kinda know what ya meen about the 50 people thing,my frieds see my corny vids and they love it but then theres always somebody who goes "YOU SUK". so ya....
