Incredible voices. Craig's squillo belongs to that of the greatest "italianate" tenors of all time; Corelli, Filippeschi, McCray, Del Monaco, Cecchele etc... I never knew of him but oh boy he sang!

Thank you for confirming the tragedy. Collier and Craig's version of madam Butterflyhas been re-issued on Classics For Pleasure 724 5 85009 2 9 titled "Puccini:Madam Butterfly (highlights). It has as a fiiller Craig singing with Joan Hammon the Love Duet from "Tosca" (Mario; Mario)

I have their recording of the highlights of Madam Butterfly (in English) from 1959. Very moving. Who said England could not produce world-class tenors. Tell me someone - didn't Marie Collier fall to her death out of an apartment window?
