I was in the Canadian Military all my live. I support our men but the DAMN GOVERNMENT is refusing to back them by getting into a "WAR MODE" and providing the men money and equipment to do the job! To win the locals to our side we MUST buy the entire poppy crop with gold.It'll be cheaper in the end!

I would like to say as a military wife, that your video is very good, many people don't understand what our brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, fathers, and mothers are going through. After receiving many calls from my husband while being deployed there this video has really hit home. They appreciate the suppport.

The importance of the mission is disputable, achievement and so on. My relief is that the people on the ground, are trained, willing and prepared. So to label liberals as cowards is unfair, because many of those fighting in afghanistan are liberal voters, or belong to liberal families. Have respect for them. Is an old Pashtun going to tell the whole truth thru a Farsee interpreter that he knows will soon tell his relatives every detail of what he has said?? No way! Feuds run deep and long.We are playing a very weak hand.We need to buy every poppy to get the locals on our side!! Otherwise we will lose and the debacle will be hellish !
War is hell and OTTAWA is trying to do it on the cheap in Afghanistan!! We need 40000 men and atleast 240 helicopters for transport and support. We need to occupy every hilltop if we are to win this war.Canada needs a War Cabinetin Ottawa,a 30% surtax and all excess capacity in GM & Ford producing tanks munitions and aircraft. On November 11th, we will once again pause in rememberance of our fallen heros.
It seems ironic that the most endearing symbol of that day is the poppy. The same and ultimate reason the Taliban continues to kill our young.
