A huge salute to you, troll-slayer. I dream of joining the Darkmoon Covenant in the hopes I can go back to slaughter and perhaps darkhand all the chicken hawks that have made I and other newbies suffer through our playthroughs.
If I invade someone who is clearly not exploiting, I'll drop an indictment so they can report more hawks for me to butcher.
This game is already intimidating enough to new players without these overpowered twinks destroying our online experiences.

Just bought the game a few days ago and finaly found a White Soapstone. But i dont want to use it yet because of this question. Can you only use each one once? or is it unlimited. If not, where can you get more stones?
@slingshotmcoy you can use it unlimited times, but you have to use it in certain areas, according to certain rules. U must not have beaten the boss in the area, and the person ur summoning must;ve already. You must be human too.
Nice comment but the if you mean the person you are summoning has to have beaten the bossb to be able to join you, I dont think thats the case because in Tomb of Giants, I became a "Soul Mercenary" and helped ppl kill Gravelord Nito several times even though I hadnt seen him yet
What are your stats on this build? I'm trying out some anti-troll builds myself and wanted to see what kind of advice you could offer, if any. For example, is building vitality up even viable with the limited amount of points you have available while staying under SL20-25? Would I be insane to use anything less than a claymore for the poise break, or are longswords worthwhile?

I beat this game a bunch. Only on my last play through did I go human here and was constantly invaded by people with great armor and bleeding weapons. They need to fix this. Kudos to you for sticking up for the little guy

@TERRORISTINDAWALL Burg is my favorite pvp spot. I talk to other dark souls fans on psn and duel at low sl, im sl 8(good gear). as for invading yes there are losers and sometimes im just trying to duel someone with the red soap stone and get a noob so i kill him.I actually have started using a basic un upgraded weapon but they think im just fucking with them instead of trying to fight on fair grounds, i dont try hard im usally trying to show how fun it is.
i honestly, truly don't understand low level pvp. it's like those people are so bad at pvp that they actually have to complete a playthrough at a low level to get endgame gear, just so they can FINALLY kill somebody (who's just started a new playthrough -_-' ). it just seems dumb, and completely worthless, too. then again... that's griefers for ya.

Instead of bothering with fair playthrough do the bottomless box glitch with already upgraded full armor and max weapons and +15 ascended to +5 glove. That's what the invaders do anyway.
@plasma123x I would have done if I knew about the glitch :). This character was made in Nov last year. The firestorm and chaos+2 claymore kills 90% of the invaders anyway so it is good enough. Funny nowadays I see other ghosts at the burg casting firestorm as well so good to see other anti griefers out there too.

@akio963 You do realize that the number of people actually patient enough and capable enough to do that at level 1 is so small, I can easily generalize what I said. If you are one of those then congratulations, you are a very patient and skilled person. You shouldn't feel targeted by my comment.
Have you run into invaders that attack you during the standing up animation? I don't know if it's just lag, but I see them standing up and they're moving while I take lighting damage. I wait at Undead Parish too with Lautrec and Solaire in NG+. Griefers need to backstab Lautrec at least 7 times to kill him but they die in just one or two hits.
You know chaos firestorm is glitched to only be as strong as tempest, I suggest you use it instead, it only uses one atunement slot, so you could have firestorm and tempest verus just chaos storm
@BitchSlay0r You can get a couple from the black knights in undead asylum. I think there is also one in the great hollow but I didnt bother with that one as found chaos + 2 is OK

I agree. Too many bottomless box glitchers invading undead burg. Built an anti-griefer last night and could not believe how many invasions I got. Most of the griefers are poor fighters. I collected 14 humanity in a short time. I've spent most of my time in kiln pvp and Dark Root. Kiln is by far the most challenging but honorable. Dark Root is plain gang bang fun. The burg anti-trolling is okay but these griefers are really ruining the game.
@ericamd1 I just found out about this glitch from you lol. This is a good way to create an anti-griefer character. I went the hard way. As I have to leave the gargoyles unbeat so I can anti troll there too, the best amor I can get is stone and best weapon is a chaos +2 claymore. But the chaos firestorm oneshot most of them anyway so no big deal. I pvp everywhere as you can see. Yeah, darkroot and dark anor londo are full of gankers but I dont mind the challenge.
@jiezhao88 Yeah, I know these are bottomless box glitchers. Most come in with giant or smough armor (saw those types of armor in your video as well) and chaos washing pole etc. with Dark Wood Grain (ninja flipping) Hard core pyromancy as well (fire surge etc.) I am soul level 12 and get invaded constantly at the cathedral by well equipped people (esp if you hit that dried finger).
Unfortunately since they lose absolutely nothing (not even going hollow) when they die as invaders, they just spam the orb again at the bonfire over and over. You just can't do anything in this game to scare people into not invading any more. I really should think the de-leveling as an invader fail should be brought back from demons souls. Or at least make them go hollow so they have to consume 1 humanity like the victim has to.
@plasma123x True, not sure why they changed it from demons souls - I remmber I had to commite suide in the nexus to so that I can invade. In Dark Souls, pvp from invading is the best way to get souls as even if you are a bad player you will still get souls from the few fights you manage to win as the losses dont cost you anything.
@jiezhao88 nah im making a sl 40 or 60 pvp build atm im sl2 and at smough and ornstein im going to really think about how i level up and what not. at low levels people wont use BK GA as much and wont be able to use WOG unless they put pretty much all their stats into faith but at that point why.
What area do you think is the cut off between "unfair grief invasions" and "legitimate/fair invasions?"
I've been invading as a lvl 20 character around the Depths and Sen's Fortress. I may be a dick for invading people in general, but the vast majority of the people I invade are competent and have good gear.
@Zhengda10 Most would say Dark Root, Kiln and Anor Londo are fair game pvp areas. Absolutely, Undead Burg is trolling/griefing. Depths (esp near those curse toads) and Sen's is marginal (at least they killed gargoyles and Queelagg). Invading in blighttown is the worst. Frame rate ALREADY sucks in blight town.
@ZOCOM15 its alot faster to invade and alot more thrilling in certain aspects. laying down a summon sign takes too damn long. Even when i am the one trying to get invaded, i get impatient and just invade someone and usually i get my ass kicked cuz alot of times itll be 3v1.

@EaRsHoT2d Look up some of the farming videos for Darkroot Garden. It's really easy. Next thing I'd suggest is to upgrade your equipment ANY chance you get. It's what really makes a difference in the game, not soul level.
I decided to try this myself and now have a level 24 character with fully upgraded pyro. It makes my level 88 feel almost weak. lol Been lots of fun!
that isshh is funny! the only people I see having a problem with it are grievers and trolls because they are on the other end of their unfair little game. LOL i couldn't stop laughing when Solaire chased that guy over the ledge! hahahhaaha good stuff man :)
@CajunSmack Thanks, starting class is pryo, points are basically spent to get str to 16 to use the claymore and the rest spent on Vit and End. If you prefer, u can also just stick with the hand axe and upgrade it to chaos and use it as a back up as u can rely on great combustion and firestorm to fry invaders. That way, u can spend a bit more points on Vit and End.
are you wearing the stone armor + mask of the father? I can't quite see. how did you get the mask that early? also, what rings do you recommend? I'd like to try out this build myself.
@stduquette Stone armor + mask of the mother. I took a trip down to the catacombs (beat pinwheel while I was down there) to get the claymore upgraded to fire then chaos - without beating Tauras demon and gargoyles, the best I can get is chaos + 2 which does 500+ damage. Rings wise, I would recommend ring of favour + havels. If u get the father mask - you can wear ring of the favour + flip ring.
@mrolson0603 The chaos amber is before the firesage demon and guarded by a bunch of Tauras demons in a lava pool. You need to beat queelag and discharge to get to it.

lol whats wrong with invading at low levels? i have never done it cuz i played offline for a whil cuz i was scared idget kicked off live and corrupt my file, but i wudnt mind it.
@tharbk01 if u want to experience what is wrong, start a new game online and go to burg or the church in body form, half way through the game, someone invades and oneshot u with a lighting +5 weapon and u are back to square 1. Some invaders also use acid cloud which break all your equipments as well. If you dont mind that then there is nothing wrong I guess :)

@tharbk01 I think this is the same argument had been going on with demons souls. Some people play solo and in hollow form and can take on the game's difficulty. Some like to coop or get help if they find the difficulty of the game challenging. So low level trolling is a problem or not depends on which camp you are in. As a fan of demons souls and dark souls, I dont like people getting put off of the game as I would like to see another sequel or spiritual successor of dark souls.
@tharbk01 For newcomers like me (And after only 1 week I ADORE this game), the 2 concepts aren't mutually exclusive, I'm trying to just play through the story and am only just at the depths, you need to turn human to kindle fires and summon help, but as soon as you do, in the Parish say, within 5 minutes some ridiculous character you've absolutely no chance of taking in a fair fight flattens you. I'm all for invasions, but its supposed to be exciting, this just makes you feel cheated.
@gullivera oh yea ive experienced that before but not as bad as now cuz the games been out for a while and people know how to get thru the game at low levels and have op weapons but when i absolutely didnt want to get invaded, i wud simply turn party chat on before i load up my file and then turn human and summon an npc. Other wise the only safe bet is to spend ur souls by the closest bonfire and run thru the area lol.
this is pretty awesome! I have a mid-lvl (near 25ish) that I may something similar with because my main toon (lvl 70somethin) has been getting trolled by guys at the Burg when he first went there
@Iruhhmi u need to take the master key and go around darkroot garden & back to the burgh to open up access to the depth to free the pryo trainer and take the short cut to blight town through new londo to get access to quelana who teaches firestorm and great combustion. Beat Queelag and get choas amber from the lava - suicide run and u can then upgrade your chosen weapon to chaos. As soon as u have enough souls, open up the seal to the garden and u can then get the stone amour. Have fun!

I agree. Too many bottomless box glitchers invading undead burg. Built an anti-griefer last night and could not believe how many invasions I got. Most of the griefers are poor fighters. I collected 14 humanity in a short time. I've spent most of my time in kiln pvp and Dark Root. Kiln is by far the most challenging but honorable. Dark Root is plain gang bang fun. The burg anti-trolling is okay but these griefers are really ruining the game.

@ericamd1 I just found out about this glitch from you lol. This is a good way to create an anti-griefer character. I went the hard way. As I have to leave the gargoyles unbeat so I can anti troll there too, the best amor I can get is stone and best weapon is a chaos +2 claymore. But the chaos firestorm oneshot most of them anyway so no big deal. I pvp everywhere as you can see. Yeah, darkroot and dark anor londo are full of gankers but I dont mind the challenge.

@jiezhao88 Yeah, I know these are bottomless box glitchers. Most come in with giant or smough armor (saw those types of armor in your video as well) and chaos washing pole etc. with Dark Wood Grain (ninja flipping) Hard core pyromancy as well (fire surge etc.) I am soul level 12 and get invaded constantly at the cathedral by well equipped people (esp if you hit that dried finger).

Unfortunately since they lose absolutely nothing (not even going hollow) when they die as invaders, they just spam the orb again at the bonfire over and over. You just can't do anything in this game to scare people into not invading any more. I really should think the de-leveling as an invader fail should be brought back from demons souls. Or at least make them go hollow so they have to consume 1 humanity like the victim has to.

@plasma123x True, not sure why they changed it from demons souls - I remmber I had to commite suide in the nexus to so that I can invade. In Dark Souls, pvp from invading is the best way to get souls as even if you are a bad player you will still get souls from the few fights you manage to win as the losses dont cost you anything.

@jiezhao88 nah im making a sl 40 or 60 pvp build atm im sl2 and at smough and ornstein im going to really think about how i level up and what not. at low levels people wont use BK GA as much and wont be able to use WOG unless they put pretty much all their stats into faith but at that point why.

What area do you think is the cut off between "unfair grief invasions" and "legitimate/fair invasions?"
I've been invading as a lvl 20 character around the Depths and Sen's Fortress. I may be a dick for invading people in general, but the vast majority of the people I invade are competent and have good gear.

@Zhengda10 Most would say Dark Root, Kiln and Anor Londo are fair game pvp areas. Absolutely, Undead Burg is trolling/griefing. Depths (esp near those curse toads) and Sen's is marginal (at least they killed gargoyles and Queelagg). Invading in blighttown is the worst. Frame rate ALREADY sucks in blight town.

@ZOCOM15 its alot faster to invade and alot more thrilling in certain aspects. laying down a summon sign takes too damn long. Even when i am the one trying to get invaded, i get impatient and just invade someone and usually i get my ass kicked cuz alot of times itll be 3v1.

@EaRsHoT2d Look up some of the farming videos for Darkroot Garden. It's really easy. Next thing I'd suggest is to upgrade your equipment ANY chance you get. It's what really makes a difference in the game, not soul level.
I decided to try this myself and now have a level 24 character with fully upgraded pyro. It makes my level 88 feel almost weak. lol Been lots of fun!

@CajunSmack Thanks, starting class is pryo, points are basically spent to get str to 16 to use the claymore and the rest spent on Vit and End. If you prefer, u can also just stick with the hand axe and upgrade it to chaos and use it as a back up as u can rely on great combustion and firestorm to fry invaders. That way, u can spend a bit more points on Vit and End.

@stduquette Stone armor + mask of the mother. I took a trip down to the catacombs (beat pinwheel while I was down there) to get the claymore upgraded to fire then chaos - without beating Tauras demon and gargoyles, the best I can get is chaos + 2 which does 500+ damage. Rings wise, I would recommend ring of favour + havels. If u get the father mask - you can wear ring of the favour + flip ring.

@mrolson0603 The chaos amber is before the firesage demon and guarded by a bunch of Tauras demons in a lava pool. You need to beat queelag and discharge to get to it.

@tharbk01 if u want to experience what is wrong, start a new game online and go to burg or the church in body form, half way through the game, someone invades and oneshot u with a lighting +5 weapon and u are back to square 1. Some invaders also use acid cloud which break all your equipments as well. If you dont mind that then there is nothing wrong I guess :)

@tharbk01 I think this is the same argument had been going on with demons souls. Some people play solo and in hollow form and can take on the game's difficulty. Some like to coop or get help if they find the difficulty of the game challenging. So low level trolling is a problem or not depends on which camp you are in. As a fan of demons souls and dark souls, I dont like people getting put off of the game as I would like to see another sequel or spiritual successor of dark souls.

@tharbk01 For newcomers like me (And after only 1 week I ADORE this game), the 2 concepts aren't mutually exclusive, I'm trying to just play through the story and am only just at the depths, you need to turn human to kindle fires and summon help, but as soon as you do, in the Parish say, within 5 minutes some ridiculous character you've absolutely no chance of taking in a fair fight flattens you. I'm all for invasions, but its supposed to be exciting, this just makes you feel cheated.

@gullivera oh yea ive experienced that before but not as bad as now cuz the games been out for a while and people know how to get thru the game at low levels and have op weapons but when i absolutely didnt want to get invaded, i wud simply turn party chat on before i load up my file and then turn human and summon an npc. Other wise the only safe bet is to spend ur souls by the closest bonfire and run thru the area lol.

@Iruhhmi u need to take the master key and go around darkroot garden & back to the burgh to open up access to the depth to free the pryo trainer and take the short cut to blight town through new londo to get access to quelana who teaches firestorm and great combustion. Beat Queelag and get choas amber from the lava - suicide run and u can then upgrade your chosen weapon to chaos. As soon as u have enough souls, open up the seal to the garden and u can then get the stone amour. Have fun!
