I am a big Cradle fan, by the way, but there's really no contest between the more talented person.

But yes, Kyo, Devin and Mike Patton are probably my favourite vocalists, at least as far as experimental-ish rock/metal musicians go.

It depends on what you're into, really, but from what you've said I think you might enjoy Devin's "extreme" band Strapping Young Lad. And his recent album with the Devin Townsend Project "Deconstruction" is probably up your street, but it's a VERY complex record. Maybe not a good one to start with.
