Well you wouldn't be walking on to the field it self, you're still behind the security fence. I cant say for sure that they wont give you a hassle, but if its pretty clear you're just there to watch planes, I don't think they'll mind.
24 is the longer runway that runs parallel to roosevelt blvd. I used to go with my grandfather and just walk right in, nobody asked any questions. You could also try going through Atlantic Aviation, theyre right next door.
I haven't actually been to PNE in quite a while. You should just be able to park at hortman aviation and go in through their office to the gated sitting area between the FBOs and the ramp.
There are also some decent spots to watch along red lion road, especially for runway 24 operations.
For runway 33, you could try somewhere along academy road that borders the east side of the field.
My friend was filming using my digital camera while I was tying down the airplane after our flight, not the best filmography I know. Just curious, how did you get into helicopter flying? I'd love to do that stuff without going through the military, pretty much my dream job.
