You might be forgetting what cars are manufactured with. :) And electronics (except for end assembly). And just about everything else.

A robot is nothing else than some kind of electromechanical device steered by some kind of computer.

@JUKIO01 A few things, 1 we already have a:i it's just not multi-functional, robots are a huge part of manufacturing so yes we need them and computers. Quantum computing won't create anything, it just will allowing amazing processing speed and be a good platform for A:I ..humans will still have to produce the software (at the beginning), plus Moores Law is actually pretty accurate by 2025 we'll have a:i and probaby androids. Check out Ray K's book "The singularity is near" you'll enjoy it.
