how to use gimp [how to make lines] part 1

It's the eyes that really get me. When I'm finished, it never has that... "Link" feel to it, know what I mean? It doesn't feel like the character. Could you possibly help me with that?

I swear you've done this 500 times before. See, when I draw Anime, I usually try to draw variations of Link (from the Legend of Zelda series), and the problem I have is getting everything to scale, the shading, and most of all, not accidentally making the head too wide or too thin or getting the eyes in the right position, that kind of stuff. When I do the eyes, I know it's the most important part, and that's where I start to get pressured. Comment continued above.

How do you make the shape with a bunch of little straight lines? I can't make the strainght lines. My lines are crap.

If you guys are wondering how hes getting the lines so straight when using the ink tool hes clicking where he wants to begin then holding shift and clicking the next spot and continueing like that, you can draw curved lines really well with tons of small straight lines. If you think about it, its the same way artists draw with using multiple brush strokes.

@THEEmaydrew okay! ^_^ When you click on "ink" and you chose a color...(say for example the light sky blue that jamilah4ever chose) and you click on the drawing wherever you want to start your line. Then hold the shift key, and move your mouse to another point on the drawing where you want your line to end. Then click on that point, let go of the shift key, and there ya go! ^_^ If this doesn't work, let me know! ;)
