Both Germany and Japan were far away too. Of course Iran lacks the naval power that Japan had, Europe and other allies are fairly close to them. I am tempted to say "Let Europe deal with Iran, they are the ones more in danger than we are." Had Chamberlain gone in at the start the Allies wouldn't have been able to re-arm as much as they did (being much less prepared than Germany at the time). Pearl Harbour wouldn't have happened any earlier so the UK would have had to last longer without direct US forces involvement. Poland would still have been a barrier between Germany and Russia so there would not be such a split in German forces. Fewer people may have died, but a German victory would've been far more likely.

Iraq never attacked you. Unless you count some miniscule border intrusions into Iraq who may or may not have happened Iran is not at war and the nuclear weapons has not been backed up with any evidence. Chamberlain's mistake wasn't in "talking" to Hitler. It was what he said, namely, "you can have the Sudetenland". Nobody advocated war. Both Germany and Japan were far away too. Of course Iran lacks the naval power that Japan had, Europe and other allies are fairly close to them. I am tempted to say "Let Europe deal with Iran, they are the ones more in danger than we are." But Europe was given the chance to deal with a madman before, and we eventually had to get involved anyway. I dunno. This is why I will never run for national office, though. I am not capable of making the big decisions about these kinds of issues.

A fall of the Third Reich would have been heavily unlikely, by 1939 all the opposing powers had been effectively smashed, often by being sent to Camps etc. An early retreat like that would've made Hitler more cautious and more concerned with being fully prepared before attacking again, and boosted the confidence of the UK/French that he could be forced to back down so they would in all probability not have re-armed to the extent they did.

Had Chamberlain gone in at the start the Allies wouldn't have been able to re-arm as much as they did (being much less prepared than Germany at the time). Pearl Harbour wouldn't have happened any earlier so the UK would have had to last longer without direct US forces involvement. Poland would still have been a barrier between Germany and Russia so there would not be such a split in German forces. Fewer people may have died, but a German victory would've been far more likely.

Yes the A-bomb was a terror weapon. It killed many thousands of innocent people, as did the carpet and fire bombings used on German and Japanese cities. The original target of the A-bomb was Berlin. If the U. S. had the bomb available in 1942, its use would have saved 30 million lives. Check out the "kind" treatment

Iraq never attacked you. Unless you count some miniscule border intrusions into Iraq who may or may not have happened Iran is not at war and the nuclear weapons has not been backed up with any evidence. In fact Irans Supreme Leader Ali Khameini has banned atomic weapons and Ahmadinejad can not make ONE political desicion without the approval of Khameini.

Iraq attacked Kuwait to try and take their oil. We rightly defended our ally. That struggle never ended, and Saddam's failure to comply with the agreed upon weapons inspections ultimately resulted in the invasion. Iran has taken hostages, calls for our destruction, is sending soldiers and supplies into Iraq to kill American soldiers. Achmadinejad has stated openly that he intends to kill the Jews and destroy Israel (while operating a covert nuclear program). Those are acts of war.

The hostages were Britains problem. Once again there is no hard evidence to support the claim that Iran arms the insurgency. Saudi Arabian however is the nationality of almost 60% of the foreign fighters.

Christians are not persecuted in Israel (there are VERY few Christians in Israel). You have to go to Lebanon and other Muslim countries where being Christian or Jewish (..non-Muslim..) will get you hanged. I also think your 2 million is a severe underestimate. The Soviet Union predicted that the United States would fall from within based on greed, the Japanese said they'd take over America without firing a shot. Considering they hold a substantial amount of US debt. China comes in behind Japan, but the major owners of our debt are the EU countries. Nations are losing faith over us because of our twin deficits, the trade and national ones. So, they're cashing in their treasury securities and moving to something else.
