The Romans bought nothing but a oppression to European societies, the Gauls, Celts and Germanic Tribes alike all had very sophisticated social systems and their own beliefs, then along come the Romans thinking they new best and fucked it all up! People often knock the British empire for it's slave trade and colonialism, but if you ask me if it wasn't for the Romans the Briton peoples would have had no concept of colonialisation, the Romans did it first and they have nothing to be proud of.
