you really should cut the stave all the way through instead of breaking it. When you break it off, it also cracks internally, and you don't know how far those internal cracks are going to go. It would suck if you made a great bow and on the first shot it snap from bottom to top.

Folding blades are far inferior to a fixed blade in any survival situation, practice or otherwise, simply due to the fact that they fold. Too much stress on them and they snap. I do have a folder in my bug out bag, but it's a last resort behind the two fixed blades, multi-tool, and hatchet that are also in my pack.

hey mate the bow seems good enough but the arrow dont. You need to make it a fletcher or notch at the end. Use paper or leaf or somthing thin and flat. Then your arrow ll go a lot straight and further
