  • Calvin and The Colonel!

  • What was the cartoon at the very beginning??

  • People don't realize animated cartoons are 'made' like the 'old style' radio programs! Not today though! Every voice actor is 'separate' then 'mixed' to sound like they are together! This cartoon has a laugh trak because it was done like radio with the audience. Put onto film (soundtrack) and 'read' (track-reader for animation) then the animation (pictures) were made to match!

  • I remember this series well and later even knew some of the people that worked on it.

    Very sophisticated for the time.

I don't remember the canned laugh track though. It's really a pain in the butt. This show was funny enough to work on it's own.

  • @vawlkee I agree about the laugh track. Hanna/Barbera used it too, unnecessarily, and so did the Archies cartoons of the latter '60s.

  • I loved this cartoon as a kid...

  • it wasn't popular as it was soon canceled because of low ratings.

I belive that at a time of MLK , legal lynchings in the south, segregation in the south, African Americans fighting the racist images and so on, that such a cartoon was a bad idea.

  • This is based on "Amos &Andy"., Some of the stories are even borrowed from it and there's even the same voices - F.Gosden & C .Correll.

  • Wow, great! Can you put on the whole episode? (The only other episode on this site was taken off.)

  • Man I remember watching this show but I saw it in the 80s I think.
