I think Lieberman is officially an (I) now. So he can now pretend to be a Republican all he wants. But if you think about it, running as an Independent will totally SCREW Lamonts chances for victory. Somehow I doubt too many Republicans will switch votes for him.

Lieberman sides with Republicans again. Big surprise. Bipartisanship means reaching out to people on the other side of the isle to work toward common goals. It doesn't mean reaching across the isle to grab a knife so that you can repeatedly stab your own party in the back!
This is a purely Republican scandal, with most of the loudest calls for Hastert's immediate resignation coming from conservatives. I guess Lieberman is right that is partisan, just Republican, and a fenzy, although I don't understand the "wrong way to go at it."
HOw, JOe, has it become partisan??? Only Republicans have cast stones across the aisle. Dems have said very little.
