I like how they actually used to give the parents a storyline. In the Disney shows these days, the parents are just 1) There for decoration in the background 2) Rarely show up except for the one-liners every now and then. The kids on these shows are just allowed to do whatever/whenever because their parents are "cool" and are never around.
