@sahand293 Which doesn't change the fact that many transmitters were designed with airplanes in mind and not so much helicopters, so there's definitely things you should take into consideration when it comes to hands-on functionality.
I'd research the transmitters you're looking into very carefully and there are less expensive but great alternatives! :)
@Joseph4Lakers None of the above if you're just starting out as they're all really expensive. But JR is definitely best, then comes Futaba, then Spektrum.
Spektrum is the most affordable, but unless you go for the DX8 it doesn't come with a knob you can use to set the gyro gain and hover pitch directly. Its useful to have turning knobs for that.
As long as you've got at least 6 channels on a radio, you can fly helicopters with them, but if you're buying an expensive radio go for 8 channels.
I liked the review and the function of the radio but seriously.....
This would have to be one of the ugliest radios JR have ever made!
In all honesty it may well be the best thing since sliced bread but I wouldn't own it if it was given to me for free, looks like ill stick with the 9X II.
Mister JR you need to kick someone's ass! this is the radio version of the Australian ford AU, not a bad car to drive but butt ugly!!!!!!
What good is a 11 channel transmitter if you have to use a 921 receiver that only has 9 channels? Can you use a 12x receiver, if so, why didn't jr just add another channel for this new radio? I don't get it.
I would say Dx7 and Dx6i are the best looking ones but why they don't have a backlight which prob costs 10 dollars to be installed by chinese manufacturers. Now we have to do it ourselves which may void our warranty and costs 50 bucks and time. If you look at cheap chinese radios like Walkera, they all have adjustable backlight and it costs less than 50 bucks. So why don't dx7 and dx6i have it? You guys got to improve your current line of radios. That's how you serve the customers.
To be honest i'm stll not sure about the look of this TX as i have seen it doing the rounds on the net for a few months now but i do like some of the cool features it can do plus the idea of the sd card can only be a good thing ;-) thumbs up from me.
That's one ugly radio, looks like decepticon from transformers. Jim, can you focus on doing your job? You eyes were fixing on the radio, and don't know what you are talking about? You looks like a kid very nosy about new stuff. Can you be more professional and do your homework?
@shangsandy87 The reason Jim is asking these questions isn't because he dosn't know it's to let us the consumer know some of the cool things this TX does, and i like ole Jimbo i think he is a well liked person who has helped me out a few times over the years,so keep up the good work Jim.
@startazz He is a nice guy I am sure. I am being a little ass myself. But what I am saying is that he may not be the best frontrunner for horizon. Someone like Gary looks and talks more into pro stuff and confident. I am sure I like Jimbo as a person but maybe not so much as a PR or product introducer.
@PHeMoX thanks but I will go with a jr x9503 or jr 11x! I really like jr but is 22ms slow?

To each his own. I love the design since the first time JR debuted it last year.

Very nice interface and a good price too, but the raised center section ruins the looks of the radio in my opinion :( It looks like a huge nose lol
