One of my favorite shows at EDHS. Well that and "Live from the Blue Note" in 2007. I am just quite amused of the fact that EDHS has produced 3 Big Phat Phield Shows in the past 5 years: The Big Phat Phield Show (2004), The Bigger Phatter Phield Show (2005), and Whodunnit (2008)? Even better is that they are going to play a Gordon Goodwin's Act Your Age in the 2010 Tournament of Roses Parade. When will it ever stop? LOL.
OK, I am going to post this on both videos. EDHS and this one. As a former member of the FHS "color guard" (Morf wouldn't let us have all of the bells and whistles then!), I want to say that this is clearly pointed out as the "first time" performing.
Also, clearly (and no disrespect to the videographer) there was a huge difference in recording equipment! The editing (fades, different shots, etc) and sound are much different.
That being said, you guys were our "competition" even back in the early 80's and I see that still hasn't changed! HA!
Just had to point that out. We almost always took 2nd to you guys if we competed. First was ours if you guys weren't there. I don't know if that is true for each competition, but it's how I remember it, 25+ years later!
Well done field show...really! No wonder Morf wanted it. He liked to push his band. It should be a compliment! Sax is phenomenal. Used to play in Jr. High
Yeah the person who edited this video used two different events I believe: 2004 6A SCSBOA Championships and an Evening Field Show Performance for the Tournament of Roses President & Committee I, too, would have preferred that the video be from one show though. Kind of ruins the effect at times.
I'm really impressed, I absolutely loved watching this. I'm a sophomore at Foothill, and this was my freshman field show, it was NOT easy, but you guys were judging us off of halftime shows, we really did improve into the actual season. Kudos to you guys, we bought the show, didn't steal it, if it were stolen, wouldn't someone have noticed and disqualified us?

well we got it so obviously it doesnt matter. and what do you guys care its not like we are better than you at it anyways. not to mention the amount of money we paid to suck at it.

Yes, Foothill is performing the same show ElDo did several years ago, but it was rightfully purchased, no copyright infringement, etc. Just because two high school marching bands perform the same field shows doesn't mean there should be so much animosity between them.
Actually, it's compliment to you, though you may not see it this way. Foothill (and its directors) loved your show in '04 so much, they decided to give it a shot. It's a challenging show and you performed it really well. Congratulations on a great year.
