  • Does David Roberts soundslike Styx lead singer Dennis DeYoung?

  • The album this is from is considered one of the ten best amongst fans of this genre--another "best kept secret",like so many others.

  • Hmmm....obviously you can't post links here, it's a pity .... Go to bekkoame dot ne dot jp slash ~ takeito slash roberts dot html

  • @OrionClassic

Thanks a zilion times, mate! :-)

  • I got to tell you, I bought this record when it was released in 1982 and I was in 7th heaven after listening to it at the record store, the best record I´d ever heard.

I already had some AOR-records like "Run away" with Bill Champlin and "Needless freaking" with Dwayne Ford, Maxus, Ray Kennedy . Here's a link where David tells the story of making this great album.

  • @OrionClassic

    Where's the libk? I'm so curious! :-)

  • @DudemanSwede It's not possible to post links here so I wrote it instead

  • Good gosh is this is a gorgeous song.

  • I remember this tune from so long ago

  • Westcoast AOR at the best. I think David Roberts' music is similar to Jay Graydon, David Foster, Bill Champlin, blended with more 'rock guitars'.

  • Beautiful song

  • Whatever happened to this guy? Production duties must be courtesy of Foster & Graydon!

  • This song brings back alot of memories, thanks for posting!!

  • This song is very special for me & my wife. We watched a night city view of KYOTO City Japan, every midnights, when we were university sutdents.

  • Reminds me a bit of Christopher Cross...

  • I like very much David Roberts. Can the album titled "Better late than never" could be easyly found ?

  • I went to high school and shared a music course with Dave in 1977 at Georges Vanier in Willowdale,ON in those days he was in a band called Palace Laundry

  • Wow! Remember this song when I was 12. Now, I am 40 .. All I could remember is the part Midnight Rendezvous but never knew who sang it before. Nice song!

  • No wonder why this sounds so great. It's the guys from TOTO: Jeff Porcaro (drs), MIke Porcaro (b), Steve Lukather (g) But also a great guitarist and producer Jay Graydon (g), Gary Herbig (sax), Michael Boddicker (synth), David Leonard (synth), Paulinho Da Costa (perc), Bill Champlin, Joe Chemay (bacround vocals)

  • I love this album! I went crazy for this album around 1984. A few years ago, I found this album in Germany and I got it! Does anyone know what happened to him?

  • He released an album titled "Better Late Than Never" in 2008 - 26 years after "All Dressed Up"! I've learned that he toured in Japan in 2008.

  • Wow! I've been looking for this song of Ramsey Lewis/Nancy Wilson version. But this is pretty nice too.

Thank you for a good old song :-)

  • This is my favourite track on the CD which is available but it is an outrageously expensive import from Japan. Thanks to whoever posted it, I now have it safely on my IPOD. Thanks very much.
