Good luck guys - this is a real mess, I understand the female lays 3,000 eggs and spawns ...alot. I don't know if its practical, but what if the lionfish became a species for general consumption? Sold in supermarkets? Sushi?? Somehow the kill ratio or at least on the females has to go way up. This is another human impact on the natural fragile ecosystem. Zebra muscles in the great lakes are another example.
Is it safe to be cutting off the fins/spines and just letting them float around? I mean if they still have the toxins in them couldn't they possibly stick a fish or another diver?
i hope lionfish eat the shit out of all the reef fish, they are beasts.

If you don't kill the fish the reef and reef fish will die, so guys keep up the fight
