What I dislike about this Contra is the silly dance track like music. The SNES one had the proper atmosphere - very dark music - a mix of military and Alien/Predator styled music.
Takes me back to the better times of my life. Me and my brothers stayed up like all night and beat the game like five times when we got it. lol. Great game for its time. Great game period.
@joemj413 Yeah It's called "Battle Train" (if you mean the part where she is cutting off the train carts one by one, which I assume you are because it is the most appealing song). This is the only song that I can actually listen to and enjoy without any visuals. The one where she is battling the robot...when I listen to the music watching this it actually sounded better. Ahh some music just can't be listened to alone.
This is sweet! Man, could you imagine doing something like this in real-life. WOOOO!!! I guess if you have enough state-of-the-art weapons, you should be able to kick some non-human ass lol.
Those are Moai heads on the mountain. They were made famous from another Konami game, Gradius. Check out stage 3 from the first game, as well as a few of the others.
I despise Neo Contra with every ounce of my being! How the hell can Bill be a freaking clone?!? Contra was that last great thing from the old days, now ruined!
Yeah, I have mixed feelings about Neo's story myself. If they were going to use that twist, it should've occurred halfway through the game and been expanded on, not brought up at the end and never talked about afterwards. And wtf at setting it so far into the future... I loved the semi-believable setting of CIII / Hard Corps / SS (ruined cities, junked cars, etc). Made the games feel gritty and real despite being so fantastical.
Oh, and that plane part HAUNTS me to death. I'm sorry. But the fact that this game forces you to be PERFECT and that this gamer is a GOD are making me jealous and suicidal.
DAMN, I want to get out my copy of SS now. Great job from that player. They seemed to intentionally draw things out a bit, by using the machinegun rather than the flamethrower's charged shot, but the fact they could do that without dying is impressive.
Thanks for including the game credits in your description too! Nobuya Nakazato and Akira Yamaoka ftw.
taht robot actually had the time to run a marathon with you, rolls balls at you, and fly back and forth above your head... it probably wanted to be your friend rather than trying to kill you
what a sub that can transform in a big ass plane I bet the military wishs that were a possibility in this day an age with countless wars going on, maybe later on down the road lol
All the bosses and their moves are so similar to Contra Hard Corps.

Super-Power Robot Yokozuna Jr. has the best music ever. Easy anyway. Great job against the submarine chopper.

Moai heads... hmm, let's see...
including what matrixandraia said,
Gradius 2- ??? (um... I don't have this one...)
Gradius 3, stage 5...
Gradius 4, Stage 5...
Gradius Gaiden, Stage 4...?
Zone of the Enders2, Zoradious
Parodious (um, so many stages, I don't remember too well. One was with them on a battleship, and a boss)
Strange they didn't make it to Gradius V.

He was the producer on Contra III, Contra: Hard Corps, Contra: Shattered Soldier and Sparkster. =)
He also produced Neo Contra, which perplexes me. >_>

Yeah...I don't think Nobuya Nakazato rings a bell a loudly enough as Miyamoto or Kojima. Should I know THAT much about him?
