  • AND WORKS GREAT!

  • wow! it works on my pc! with 1GB RAM!

  • will fsx run good on my pc

pentium 4 3.06 ghz with hyper threading

    3 gb ram

    nvidia geforce 6200 256 mb

    windows xp sp2

  • @kucarina965 Hi Kucarina, sorry for late reply, unfortunatly those specs are not enough for FSX, it's gonna run ok, but not good, and you gonna have to lower down settings, i had similar specs with gerforce 6800 which is way better than 6200, and you can see it does not run that well. So, I would recommend at least a pentium dual core 2.5 or higher, and 8600GT graphics card or better.

  • @yuryduarte sorry i didnt reply it works preety good on every thing set to medium high but i am going to buy a new pc

    dual core e5700

    2gb ram

graphics card Integrated Intel® GMA 3100 with 256MB Shared Memory

  • windows vista home premium doesn't give you a limit to FPS

  • BAD ??? SUCK MY BIG COCK xD My PC Sucks More Cock Than a HO on 5 years on a day xD

  • I remember once i was flying the fps jumped up to 300 fps and average was 150-200xD

  • wow,

so I will have an average 30 fps?

    thats good 4 me.

  • Ye a bit more at cruise ;)

  • Niceee merry xmas

  • Ye merry xmas to you too ;D

  • thanks

  • Maybe you clicked full screen that helps fps

  • Wow awesome,

    I can't wait until I Play it

    thanks for the help

  • yuryduarte

I have the Geforce GS PCI not PCI-E

Will i be able to play it on high still ?

  • yes, you should still be able to play it on high, might lose 3 - 4 fps though. But i was playing yesterday and I was getting 35 - 50 FPS in sao paulo - Brazil. High settings. With 8600GT pci-e you can get that FPS in Ultra High.

  • Okay thankyou, How would the Geforce 6600GT work with my specs?

  • i am using 6800 GT on this specific video, so a 6600 would perform a little slower. probably 5-20 fps in large cities.

  • okay, I know i keep asking you stuff but I have finally decided to get a Geforce BFG 7600gs and I will be looking to buy it soon, so this card will performane good yes?

  • Great card... But try to get the one with ddr3. the 7600 GT is better. 7600 GS will performe very similar to the 8400 GS, probably a little better than 8400 since 7600 is 128bit, and 8400 is 64bit. 7900 GS will perform much better in FSX than any of these cards, probably better than the 8600 GT. But yes, 7600 GS 512mb is a great option for FSX. You need to worry most about your processor, cause it will surely be the main issue for good FPS.

  • Okay thankyou i don't really want amazing performance I just want to play it with good graphics and an okay framerate.

One bad thing, My power supply is 300watts and Ive heard 7600GS needs "350 watts" but that's what I have heard but if this is right will this effect my framerate badly? please reply,

    thanks so much.

  • Hi brook3zy.. not it won't affect the frame rate, however it could damage your graphics card if your power supply is not good. If you have a good 300w power supply than it will be ok. Some of the 300w power supply don't actually offer that power if they are low cost power supply. It's okay for you to use it if you just have one HD and one dvd writer. Just don't plug too many things to your power supply and you should be ok. But get a better one as soon as you can.

  • Okay thanks I'm only going to plug the graphics card in to my power supply, so thanks for the advise.

  • hi yuryduarte ,

so will the geforce 7600GS 512MB AGP have medium-high settings as it's deafult?

  • The FSX automatic default settings selection will depend on the processor and operating system. But you should be able to play it on high settings with good avarage FPS in most areas. You can balance settings to get best graphics and performance. Medium-High will play very well for sure.

  • Great so my system and card will have medium-high as deafult? Great!

If i turn down some settings like water and disable bloom will I have a good 17-30 fps?

  • Wow thanks allot man,

I will let you know at christmas how my card is coping and I will let you know if I need any help

So end of the day Geforce 7600 AGP 512MB will play FSX well and in high or medium graphics?

    Thankyou.

  • sure you will get about 18 - 35 average on medium-high. If you use water high1x you should get even more. Remember to turn off anti-aliasing.

  • Oh and by the way, I only have 1gb ram

(992mb) will I still have an average FPS of 18-35 and will I still be able to play medium high on my overclocked Geforce7600GS 512mb AGP????

    thankssss.

  • Actually 1gb will be ok for windows XP, if you use Vista or 7 you will need 2gb... i should not have a major impact in the perfomance, only 1 or 2 frames less. Don't overclock your graphics card cause you will not see much difference in FSX. You actually need a dual core processor, and then you overclock the processor.

  • Okay thanks,

Im haven't overclocked it the company BFG sold it to me overclocked. Oh well, I might be buying a brand new computer with with pci express so I can play fsx ultra high,

    thanks!

  • Nice, but actually i forgot to tell you thar the biggest issue for you will not actually be the FPS... the fps willl be good.. but the processor actually does not load the scnery fast enough when you are flying. I played with an Atlon 64 3400+ 2.4ghz single core with 8600 GT High settings i got 30-60fps. But when I fly from one city and arrive at the other, the scnery takes forever to load at the other place, sometimes i only see it when im in ground, the fps is is the same though.

  • Oh no what shall i do :(:(

I dought im getting a new computer now so what can I do???? :(

  • not much... besides overclocking the processor... but i doubt a pentium 4 would overclock well. maybe you could try to sell your pc and use the money to upgrade it. Many people buy old pc, at least here in Brazil.

  • I wont bother selling it, I will just cope with it thanks anyway

  • Hi yuryduarte

I have finally come to a conclusion about FSX and my computer,

    for christmas i am getting;

    pentium 4 3.4GHz

    1.5gb ram

    geforce 9500gt

and playing on a 19inch HD monitor

what do u think? good graphics? good frames per second?

    thanks

  • yes... you will get great performance for sure. Pentium 4 @ 3.4ghz, it's even faster than some of the dual cores like E2140@1.6ghz. But if you have a chance get a dual core E5300, It's going to be much faster than any of the old pentium 4, you just need a 775 motherboard that supports dual core.

  • okay thanks for ur help!! =]

    and merry christmas friend

  • @yuryduarte What about me i have

    Centrino

    2.2 Ghz

    3.0GB Ram

Intel chipset 4 wat do u think?

  • Its not bad but definately not good

  • @BROOK3ZY I just upgraded my computer and it's pretty freaky that it's excactly the same except i have a pentium 3.8Ghz ;). I get pretty good frames at normal settings in places like LAX. GL with that, but just saying, you should get at least a quad core, 4 GB of ram, and a 9800 GT.

  • thanks so much for replying, could you tell me one more thing please..

Will my system have a good or average FPS and will it play on high or Ultra high

    thanks really appretiate it.

  • I have another system with similar specs, it's an Athlon 64 3400+ 1.5gb ram + 8400GS, this Atlhon is similar to a P4 @ 3.2ghz. I can play all settings on High average 20-35 FPS. But on system settings you should turn off Anti-Aliasing, disable bloom, and set water to low2x, all the rest set to high settings, it will run good. Set scenery to dense, autgen to normal. You should be able to play on Ultra High in many low density areas, but it will lag in big cities.

  • thanks so much, i will subscrbe to you for your help.

  • hi great vid mate,

my pc is similar to yours and i was wondering if this will work..

    Intel pentium 4, 3.00GHz,

    2GB Ram,

    Geforce 8400 GS PCI ??

  • everything you have is good, 8400gs is a great card, 2gb ram is perfect, but you need a dual core processor to run this game properly... any dual core running @ 1.6ghz or over witll be much faster than a pentium 4 @ 3.0ghz. But it will still work good for you better than my specs in this video. Ive changed my specs though. Regards.

  • were you flying with full flaps extended?

  • yes, i was..

  • how did you get window view all of the project opensky planes that I have don't have window view

  • Actually from virtual cockpit view, that actually doesnt exist. Just change to virtual cockipt view and from there hold CTRL + Enter, and set to the position you want over the wing.

  • ok sweet

  • Hey where did you get the plane? I've been looking for a 757 that works in FSX for soooo long!!

  • It's freeware project opensky, just type on google search project opensky and you will get into a website that offers a lot of aifcraft to download including 757. Actually most aircraft work in FSX you just need to change sometimes, panel and sound config. Or Just copy panel and sound files from default 737-800, it will make it work.

  • "Pentium 4 2.8ghz

    1gb RAM

    Geforce 6800 - 256mb "

    uuhh, your system is bad?!

    the mine is:

    "AMD athlon 2.0 ghz

    512 mb ram

    geforce 64 mb"

THIS is a bad system D:

  • Yeah preety bad for the newest games, but now I have Intel Dual Core E2140 @ 1.93GHZ, 2GB RAM and 8600GT 512mb,and FSX is running much better. You should change your system too, you can get a good system today to play FSX on Ultra High with about $300 dollars.

  • Hey, was that 757 the captain sim version?

  • That was a very nice video. It reminded me of how passionate I used to be, and still am, about flight simulator. I need to get me a good computer before I buy this game then I'll pick up to where I left off. After watching your video I realized how much I miss flying. BTW, great music to complement this video. Good work!!

  • retards get a life, not every one can buy a Quad core and good graphics, so thats what this guy got and its not bad at all, i got a worse pc than this one :D

  • Hi thx for comment. This pc was ok for many games, but FSX really requires at least a dual core system. I just bougth now an E2140 1.6GHZ dual core, 8600 GT 2GB RAM, and fsx now runs much better than this. But you dont need to spend lots of money like these guys do to run this game well. I run now on Ultra High, usually I can get 22-55 frames, in Major Cities i get 12-35. New York is Lowest 8-22.

  • yea man i actually have a bad pc, but i want to buy a dual core, i dont need a ultra dual core as you said, well thank you :D

  • thats why im getting fs2004

  • hey good video :D

  • OMG that is the worst computer like ever, ive got a gtx 295 and the ebst dual core in the world

  • yeah nice rig, but i heard GTX 295 drivers are not very good to play FSX.

  • yeah very true, look at my how the gtx 295 runs on fsx vid too seee, i have gone back to fs9 coz of this

  • use more views than locked spot and right wing window.

  • Wow! i have 1Gb ram and on medium low settings i can only get 6 fps,Good landing!

  • :/ you need to upgrade your pc, cant believe people are still using like 6800 and pentium 4's and 1gb RAM damn, were have you people been living the past few years

  • Brazil my friend, everything is more than double the price. A processor like Core 2 duo E7300 which costs $119 dollars in the US, here costs R$450 that's like over $200 dollars. So i'll have to use my 6800 AGP for sometime.

  • People don't have all the money to spend in the world think about someone besides yourself.

  • People don't have money burning a hole in their pockets, and have more important things to do, than upgrade to the newest thing all the time.

  • Seriously! and graphic cards and processors are reall expensive.

  • yea.

  • how the fuck cares about the music vuino i guess you serch for fsx landing not fsx music watch hes damn good landing instead!

  • i finally got my frame rats up some by customizeing mine

  • wow thats one bad processor!

  • Nice landing. What song was that? I liked it.

  • The song is from "Sade - Nothing can come between us". thanks for comment.

  • C'mon man?!!?

Next time pick a better music!

    Nice vid.

  • at seattle-tacoma fsx with high settings goes okay. but in san francisco its very laggy

  • Seattle, NY and San Fracisco runs very similar in my system. A couple frames less in NY.

  • grat frames

  • how did you get the wing view

  • right click and select right or left side window i had to answer this question twice today. If you have any more questions just comment me ok?

  • But not all planes have a wing view! Use Shift Enter!

  • Nice landing!

  • what did u use to film this?

  • Fraps.

  • wheres the space needle?

  • was the tacoma scnery default or add-on, if it was or a download could you tell me where you got it from GREAT VIDEO!!!!

  • that's the default scenery from Flihgt Simulator X Deluxe edition. thx for comment.

  • Sweet. Is this the deluxe edition, or dows the standard still have Seatac INTL. I live near Seattle =). GO HAWKS!

  • This is the Deluxe edition, but i belive the standard also has the city of Seattle. I know FSX standard has 28 cities with all the details while FSX Deluxe has 38 cities with all details.

  • dued neat i got FS2002 and its just like nothings alive but airplanes

  • hi.. thx for comment! :)

  • I've been on this flight, this aircraft many times in real-life and I can't believe how realistic this is!! Crazy!! And very nicely done. :)

  • Nice job zoomin' in on Highway 509 there, although traffic never runs like that on 509, still pretty cool to see! Great video! Great music!

  • hi! thx for comment! :)

  • Hey I have to say this is a great video. I am lovin' the Sade theme song....off the hook!!!

  • thx for comment. I like Sade too, her voice is unique.

  • where is the plane from?

  • it's freeware. I don't remember where i download it, i think it was at fsdome, maybe flightsim or simviation. Search for united 757-200 for FSX.

  • the wing views look beautiful is all i can saw. was it free???

  • to have wing views i just switch to cockpit view and ajust it.. the plane is free. you can dowload at simviation, flightsim or fsdome.

  • is it an fs2004 plane because i have typed in united 757-200 and nothing for fsx comes up???

  • I think i found where i download it...go to simviation search bar and type united 757 for fsx... this is actually a 757-222,it will be on page 17 of simviation website, the file description in the page says (Adapted from an original Project Opensky 757 to work in FSX. Repaint: Clemens Pieper. 9.8MB)

  • thanks, im gonna check it out straight away.

  • i checked and it turns out i already have that plane. it doesnt work on my computer though for some reason. there is no cockpit or wing view on the version i have so i cant fly it.

  • do u have to be a member of the websites u go to to get the planes?and how do u tell if they come with and interior cabin?

  • some websites you need to be a member, you have to create an account, but it's free, at website simviation, you don't need any account, you just need to go there and download what you want, free.

  • thanks!

  • and YOU thought ur computer was bad

    mine is

    Intel celeron m440 1.86GHZ

    1GB RAM

    ATI Radeon Xpress 200M Series

I Have To Keep The Autogen And scenery complexity on the minimum(no buildings or trees) cus when i have them on i only get about 3FPS :( so with the other stuff on like urs i get about 20 FPS

  • hehe, i used to have that system but with a Intel celeron 3.00ghz and a ATI Radeon Xpress 200

  • great video 5 stars :D i was wondering of my system specs were enough because i have fsx and it has medium frps heres my specs:

    inspiron 530(computer type)

    windows vista(home premiumn)

ati radeon hd 2400 pro graphics card

    2.00gb memory ram

    hard drive 222gb(now is 105gb)

viiv intel core 2 duo 2 or 3 cpus 2.33ghz

    32bit system.

are they ok to use woth fsx. please reply.thanx.

  • You should be able to run it ok, remember your graphics card is not very good for gaming is better for High Definition Content.

Windows Vista makes the game run slower, especially because of DirectX10.

When you build your next PC to run FSX consider high clock componets. A processor to run FSX well should have a clock of 3.0 or more..and at least a core 2 duo. The quads are also good option. You should also consider the clocks of the graphics card, the higher the best.

  • usually the 8800 GT superclocked versions are good option, also the 9800 GTX. The ATI's 3870's are also good option.

    For processing look for the core 2 duo E6850 3.0ghz, E8400 3.0ghz, E8500 3.16ghz or Quads, Q6600 and Q9300.

If you want to Make it run better make sure you have installed SP1 and SP2 it will help your FSX run faster.

Remember that bloom is a framerate killer, you should disable it. Aircraft detail, autogen and Aircraft traffic are framekillers too.

  • Again, rembember that when you buy a graphics card look for the core clock and memory clock and not the amount of memory 256 or 512mb will be ok. But look for core clocks of at leat 720mhz if it is a 256mb card or at least 650mhz if it is a 512mb card.

  • What add-on is this??? Great landing though!! :)

  • It's just the 757-200 I have downloaded at website Flightsim. Everything else is from Flight simulator X default scenery.

  • the music was total shit. otherwise, it was great. what i don't like about fsx is that it makes a limited amount of buildings in 3d. it just shows the tops of the rest of them and it just doesn't look right. they should either make them all in 3d or none at all.

  • WTF!! ok i have a P4 at 3ghz and 1.5gb of ram and an ATI 2600xt 256mb graphics card and if i had my settings at the same of yours then in city i would be lucky to get at lest 5fps!!!:-(

  • Make sure you have installed Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2, that will give you a good jump in performance. Remember that if you are running it on Vista, that also decreases performance. XP still the best for performance.

  • i installed all that (just installed sp2 today) but the scnery has improved but the FPS hasn't.

Any other ideas of what could change my FPS?

  • I haven't tried this yet... but search for a video of a user on youtube called SSSCLimitedTradeMark , the video is FSX: from 9 to 33 FPS - Serious performance increases, he teaches how to get better fps.

Also, rembember that bloom and Aircraft Detail to Ultra high are frame rate killers.

  • Thanks for the info!

  • yea. ok ill probly give road traffic a little try then, cheers. nice vid btw

  • yea i have a pretty similar system to you, and i get similar performance, i have a higher resolution though. (1440x900)i like dont have the traffic on though and you get a little more out of your system

  • well, the car traffic is not going to be much load for your system, only aircraft traffic. You can set car traffic to 100%, still runs the same. For me, I believe that Bloom, Autogen, Scenery, Aircraft and Ship traffic are the frame killers in this game, all the rest you can set to Maximum. thx for comment!
