  • who cares?

  • He is privy to intelligence that we don't have (Obama).

    I believe in him.

  • We don'twant another attack. Now, Obama is protecting us.

  • People have short memories. September 11th was awful.

  • Of course we have to review any policy or behavior which is inhumane. We are good people, and want to remain so.

But we had to fight back after September 11th, and that's what we did. Bad policies or practices have to be gotten rid of, but I'm grateful to Bush for trying so hard to protect us.

  • I disagree. Bush is a patriot. He did the best he could after September 11th.

He's not as smart as Obama. But he did what he thought would protect the American people from further attack.

  • No, there is NOTHING vague about it.. but Bush was a stupid man, with EVIL INTENT. That combination makes for war and horrid acts.

And, then; Bush fixed it so that the US could never try him. Nice, eh???

  • In my humble opinion

USA is systematically being turned into a nation that is viewed as a rogue state that needs to be brought down.

The is clear that a 1 wirld govt cannot be erected while USa remain a vibrant force against dispicable acts.

Look around you will see many examples how America is being systemically dismantled.

from the disapearing jobs to the zombie banks ,the illegals to foriegn policy.

    Anti Americaniam is all around

The good people of usa know something is not right.

  • "We have recreated our enemy's methodologies in Guantanamo. It will hurt us for decades to come. Decades. Our people will all be subjected to these tactics, because we have authorized them for the world now. How it got to Guantanamo is a crime and somebody needs to figure out who did it, how they did it, who authorized them to do it, and shut it down because our servicemen will suffer for years" - Malcolm Nance

  • The above comment is from a video titled "Torturing Democracy" (available at TorturingDemocracy. org).

btw, YouTube has a short excerpt from that video titled: "Torturing Democracy" Excerpt #4" - ( watch?v=NJzjge4tWD8 )

  • Hey, thanks for sending this my way.

It's embarassing to be an American these days. And, I totally comprehend why SO many nations hate US... given what boy-Bush did, we deserve it.

I still don't get, though, why Obama has not changed any of this and, instead, signed off on what Bush did-- he is basically doing the same thing(s).

    SICK.

  • I just think that being the strongest nation on earth comes with responsibilities. One of those responsibilities is being an example to the rest of the world on how to treat prisoners.

Adhering to the Genevea Convention shouldn't be optional.

The US is gonna pay for what the Bush administration has done for decades to come. Decades.

  • Personally, I think Obama has in some ways begun moving in the right direction.

For instance: "Obama Administration Revises State Secrets Policy (NPR)" - ( watch?v=EJjlKAKMEvo )

However, Obama is also standing in the way of OUR justice department and keeping them from investigating the Bush administration's war crimes. By doing so, Obama is resisting making our elected officials ACCOUNTABLE for their actions. - That won't end well.

  • Not only is it against the constitution. It is an unreliable means of infomration gathering.
