  • @hassakhanlodhi

hard to get a human hard if you dont have a medical profession. ;)

besides, there's no anatomical difference, anyway - except the size, but this heart is equal to that of a child.

  • @bionerd23 thanks mahn,

  • thats really interesting science is awsome,

  • Great video! Helped me out with my heart dissection that I had to do today! Thanks for sharing!

  • I have difficulty watching flesh & bloody video's especially something like a heart but you talked me threw it, great and intriguing information. 5 star

  • i dont think thats what the manufacturer had in mind for that pen. lol

  • Very few people understand the science of the heart :)

  • You are the best nerd in the world, have you known?

  • that was great thanks for the vid

  • awesome... dissection trays are for sissys... all we need is a bare desk...

    subscribed!

  • lol, depends what you dissect. this was a heart sold from a slaughterer, one that classifies as HUMAN FOOD - and thus, is prepared in kitchens using kitchen knifes, no gloves, and wooden bacteria-infested slats. so what! :P

any human who eats other animals should really not complain about the procedure. ^_^

  • if you like chemical sciense and how to make things with chemicals visit nurdrage the channel

  • Awesome, very educational! (I'm a med student)

    5*

  • hey bionerd,that is crazy!

  • At 5:10 it looks like it's in plastic wrap...

  • Wow, that is creepy ... and cool :D I have to show this vid to my dad, he'll like it too :)

  • why, is he a doctor or something like that? or just generally interested in science? =)

  • No, he's an electrical engineer but he always wanted to see a surgery 'live' :)

  • Hey c4r0hv, Search for 'Gunther von Hagens' on youtube and some other video streaming websites, he is a crazy awesome Polish/East German anatomist who has done loads of videos.

  • Yea, I know this guy :)

  • heh, i donated my body to him, too - and now i get free access to the BODYWORLDS exhibitions, sweet! :)

  • Awesome, lol, i love the anatomy videos he did. Pretty much have most of them on my computer.

I have never been to any of the bodyworks exhibitions personally. I was going to go to one a couple of years back but i was busy at the time, hopefully he will come back to the UK eventually.

  • hehe, pretend it's the heart of a child.

how tender! you're awesome as usual!

  • Wow this is really cool

  • is that a real heart?

  • yep, sure, it's from a slaughterer... it's a SHEEP's heart, though, not a human heart... but it looks and works exactly like a human heart does, too!

  • I can almost smell the blood. =)

  • How do you know this stuff, I wish I was as smart as you!

  • "it is not foolish to not know - it's only foolish not to be willing to learn!" - in other words, i got books from libraries as well as an insane amount of information, charts, videos etc. from the internet - so you could learn it, too, if you're really interested. :)

hearts (and other organs) are available for very cheap at slaughterhouses / slaughterer shops.

  • yeah, i did that a couple of times in the past, e.g. with my radon video... but this video would've been just 11-12 minutes or so, that wasnt worth making a second part.

  • yeah, and you dont seem to be the only one... weird. i didnt think this was that bad... as there was very few blood and all. but, my video is already marked as "This video may not be suitable for minors."... o_O

personally, i dont have an issue with blood it seems, but i DO have an issue with stenches as well as dental drills (even on somebody else), so there. :)

  • Eat it.

  • sure, heart is quite nice - i'd always prefer that over liver or kidneys. the problem is, you need to cook it for very long - and i have an electrical stove, not gas, so it'd cost a fortune and not be worth cooking just ONE little heart... thus, i put this one in isopropanol.

  • Well, Id rather not touch it lol, Kidneys and Livers are considered "Bad" food because they are used to filter out poisens of the body, If not cooked or washed right it can be pretty bad...Heart to me is just creepy

  • yup, that's why i'd always prefer heart over liver / kidneys. heart isnt too bad. tongue tastes nice, too, when prepared properly.

  • Id eat tongue because itd just be like french kissing a burned person....sept with teeth lol

  • That's really cool. I didn't know the valves were that thin. Thanks for the cool video.

  • Though I was trying to hold back vomit the entire video, this was awesome!!! 10,000/.00000000001

    (That's alot...)

  • heart of a child ... ur sick :D

  • I am sure could succeed easily if you did studies in medecine.

  • your videos are always interesting.

i am glad i subscribed to you!

  • where did you get the sheep heart?

  • at my favorite turkish slaughterer, were i bought beef to eat yesterday, too - the heart was $1.50.

he sells heads, feet, etc. etc., too... it's a great store! i think they now remove the brains from the skulls, though, as it is no longer allowed to be sold after the BSE crisis, boohooo.

  • BRAINZZZZZZZZ

  • lol i want a sheep skull.

  • Wow this was fascinating. It's so complex when you really take the time to look at all the different parts.

I'm still freaked out by the hearts' ability to pump on a certain rhythm for entire an lifetime completely unvoluntarily; shit blows my mind.

  • Not completely, you can control your heart rate to some extent. It's especially easy if you have a heart monitor (ECG machine) for feedback. :)

  • good stuff
