  • Gaudete sancta ecclesia catholica!!!

  • @SuperDenni96 Gaude* :)

  • virgine is pronounced wrong - in latin, vs are pronounced as ws.

  • @atheistphilosophy1 Pronunciation of the Latin language is different when singing than when you are translating/writing in Latin. I take Latin at my high school and am in its choir and run into these types of issues all the time. For example, when writing/translating Latin the word Ave would be pronounced Awe. however, when we sing the Ave Maria, Ave is always pronounced with the normal v sound.

  • @XelaMon1 actually, there are two different types of latin: ecclesiastical and classical. classical uses w's, while ecclesiastical uses v's.

  • @UzbekistaniPlayBoy

but you're right about the song thing. My school just uses v's all the time.

  • @atheistphilosophy1 In academic Latin, yes, you are correct. But this is Church Latin with pronunciations similar to modern Italian.

  • Lovely

  • Rejoice! Rejoice! Christ is born of the Virgin Mary: Rejoice! ` God has become man, admiring nature; The World is renewed, From the rule of Christ. ` Rejoice! Rejoice! Ezechiellis shut the gate to pass away; Hence arose the light, Salvation is found. ` Rejoice! Rejoice! Christ is born of the Virgin Mary: Rejoice! Therefore, our hastened sing now in the lustrum; Bless the Lord: the King of our salvation. ` Rejoice! Rejoice! Christ is born of the Virgin Mary: Rejoice!
  • Cute for a bunch of three year olds.

  • <3

  • Oh my god a I hate english spelling of latin...only slovanian are able to spell latin right... But music is great of course. We sing this song on our small choir as well (I´m from czech republic)

  • @BassKiwi romanian can spell it correctly too without accent, romanian language is the nearest language to the latest latin of the V sicle.

  • @BassKiwi have you ever heard of a language called "Italian"? It appearently is just a newer version of latin. so not only slovanian are able to spell latin right. But, however, I agree, I also hate english spelling of latin.

  • @buddha30001 the same applies for italians (or greeks) when speaking english.

  • @1950lo Of course it does, but not with everyone. I'm Italian, and I'm gonna study english. But you're right, my uncle could'nt even say apple right when he saw my iMac.

  • @buddha30001 hahaha i think apple is an easy word the most difficult for me is to pronounce Massachusetts

  • Wonderful. Simply superb. The essence of healing.

  • Gaudet"sch"e... ¬¬"

  • The art work is also beautiful. Many remind me of the holy cards we used to get from the nuns at our parochial grammar school back in the 1960's. I would love to find out where I could get copies of some, especially the one with all the faces of cherubs looking down at Baby Jesus in the manger, with Mary watching over him.

  • such pretty voices. i love this song, its also very nice with instruments.

  • A day of joy Sunday

  • i have the first two lines of the verses

  • finally i can practice it with the tune not a pino for the choir

  • I hear that who is sing is English.

I'm italian and the pronunciation it's different.

    But it's Beautiful! C:

  • Piękna piosenka a raczej kolęda.

  • Please, can you tell me, who are the performers?

    Thanks.

  • Gaudeamus!

  • Just listened and now it's christmas!

  • What language is this?

  • LATIN!

  • gaudete gaudetee christus est natus ex maria virgineeeeeeeeeeee

  • i'm singing this in school choir and i'm playing it in the orchestra in our concert

  • Pos.: Die originale Fassung und keine irgendwie verhunzte.

Neg.: Etwas blutleere, schwindsüchtige Version. Kenne ich besser.

    Insges.: Danke!

  • Huh! They sound quite sexy!

  • Saw them live once. They certainly are.

  • @WhiteProfondo I think I shouldn't laugh as i'm catholic, but you made me ROFL with this one ;)

  • we're singing this in an all boy choir at my high school. tenors sing this part of the chorus but it sounds way better with baritones and bass

  • Amazing, and that's from a cultural protestant atheist. I keep coming back to this track, I may be a confirmed atheist but some things from religion are truly beautiful.

  • @psaxxon

Guy, search the beautiful, and behind this you will see the Beauty, the plenty of this!

    Have a good new year!

  • @psaxxon Because they are coming from God!

  • amo questa canzone

  • Boychoir would be better

  • Nice performance, but their accent is just annoying. It's "gaudete", not "gow day tay".

  • @kanssasi I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this! Their voices are quite good, but the accent... *twitch*

  • superb merry christmas

  • Finally! Someone with the right version of Gaudete by the Mediaeval Baebes!

    Merry Christmas! Gaudete!
