@ShockedShocktrooper not really quake is more raw skill based il give you that but is more forgiving. theres no dodging no health regen, smoke and flash area you gotta know and when to do em and of course one of the most important decisive fact money. all your strats will turn around it. just the fact that u can move the way you do in quake gives you a chance in 1vs multiple in cs or css if its a 1vs multiple if the other team plays in crossfire you basically have no chance.

This video does NOT show fatal1ty's best. In this video he looks just like a semi-pro (or even amateur) player. Nothing he did in THIS video is that hard. And I don't think he's THAT fast in CS. I've seen many CS players who are faster than he's IN CS. If you doubt it search in Youtube for: "Dexen - Dreams", specially around 3:17 minutes =) ... and he's not even pro.

I don't know how Quake is though. Never played it.

CS is team-orientated, Quake is solo-orientated, can't compare them much really. Emphasis on effective headshot kills in CS is important also.

@IAmPhotoBucket - I think in some ways you're right, but in others you're not. Don't get me wrong, Quake is easily 5 times as fast as CS is, and it's pretty much non-stop.

There are other levels to CS though, especially if you've ever played 5v5 in a decent enough team, and definitely if you've ever played in the CPL. Strategy plays so big a part at those levels it's unreal, and (I know it's a bit of a shitty argument) it's not something you'd realise unless you'd played in those games.

Overall combat tactics and map strategy is much much easier in a game like BF where most of the weapons act very similar and you are very limited in terms of what you can hold and have at your disposal at any given time. That along with the slow moving and more predictable targets making aiming much easier is why games like BF and the like are so easy to play well.
