pussy shit, try coming off heroin , it aint just nausea, its yellow bile coming up every twenty mins for 5 straight days. you get literally every symptom in the book.hallucinations are the least of your worries.

ne one at ne age can get dt's...i think i first got them when i was about 19 or 20.....dont ever say never...it will come at u like a bitch...but i think genectics have a role to play in it as well.and if u want to put ur self to the test then drinnk hard liquor every day ...like a fith and a pint...do that for about a week then stop and see what fucking happens..

Oh man!!!I've had the horrors a couple of times but pride kept me out of the ER! Guess what!? I could have died man!!!I had 911 on my phone cause I could not breath. Dude I'm a strong guy but that is some terrifying shit! no joke!

I always drank at parties but after 2 years in Iraq I went to Thailand and went on a SERIOUS 100 day drinking binge. Stopped. And about 2 days later had absolutely dead real hallucinations. Of a religious kind (& I'm not religious never grew up around it either). Terrifying. Remember thinking "need to talk 2 someone or I'll lose it completely" & went into an internet cafe n started chatting w a girl there normal stuff HIDING that I was trying to keep wild hallucinations under control.

Very scary hallucinations! It depends how much you drink before withdrawls. I was drinking a gallon of jagermiester a day. I was seeing people who dont exist and music too!

Yep thats what happened to me after taking 6 months off in the tropics and going on a 100 day party bender. Hey hit me a mail I'd be fascinated to hear what happened to you. Like I said in other comments here I had never even heard you could end up hallucinating and when I quit cold turkey and out of the blue had these crazy very real terrifying hallucinations I had no idea what was going on. Scariest thing ever.

If someone had told me I could end up wildly hallucinating and really believiong it I would have said NEVER. Norm. drink at parties no more. Short story: Went to Thailand 6 months free & suddenly got drunk every day for almost 100 days straight. Stopped. & 2 days later was WILDLY hallucinating was absolutely terrifying. I made ZERO connection that it could be the drinking n stopping cold turkey. Send me a mail I'll tell you exactly what happened. I'm fine now BTW.

i take diazepam an neurodistra! valium is the sweetest way to been 10 days without it! distra is like givn a age-one subutex or methadon! cold-feeling, bad dreams an stuff.. but OK!

now im lukin for diaz to gettin my regular life in it, drink sometimes but gettin now spasmen... drug-life in a, german called "teufelskreis"!!! but i wont be in an haspital again!! may anibody knows an pharmacy?

I went throuh D.Ts they suck bad i heard people that werent there, music that wasnt there,bugs believe me if you start to see the hallucinations get fast help! They had me tied down for 2 days that i dont remember! Just people looking in the hospitoal window.

Best thing to do if you start them or if you are a sufferer of the DT's. The day you decide to quit, go to the doctor and explain your quitting and make sure he gives you some chlordizepoxide (librium), enough for a week or so and make sure your staying with other people if you live on your own, cause its damn scary (hallucinations, and voices, cramps, Disorientation), and eat loads, and drink heaps of water and stick to the medication and take multivits.

That was brilliant guys i'm currently 3 days into alchohol withdrawal mostly just getting headache's and nausa but i'm on a heap of vitamin's so that's helping heaps but great work on the video

You guys have done a brilliant job, surprisingly realistic. DTs however rarely hits anyone under thirty so maybe an older set of actors would have been more realistic. But I think with the younger cast this would be perfect material for classrooms in Australia.

Says who? Anyone can get the D.T's coming off of Alcohol at any age. Ask any Dr. There is no magic number like 30. Guess you've never worked in a Detox facility or Hospital, gone to meetings because that is just wrong. Sadly young people on here will say "Yea I'm 25 so I got nothing to worry about for another 5 yrs..." They would be mistaken because they read your remark. I try not to write anything in comments anymore unless it is a fact. Life is about learning, everyday....

Great effort guys. I think you did as good job as one could do with a camcorder and no real special effects. No video could ever depict how terrifying DT's are. I was a cronic alcoholic for years. My last drink was over 3 years ago. I was sedated in hospital for 2 weeks, if i haden't of been, it would have killed me. I have done the withdrawals a few times with no medication and i wouldnt wish it on my worst enemies. A truley terrifying place to be.

I drank daily for nearly 15 years. Malt Liquor. Average of five-seven 40's a day. When I went into detox, on my own, I kicked so hard, I saw worms coming out of my skin. I sweat; shivered and halusinated. I had dry heaves and muscle cramps and irregular heartbeats. The staff thought I was kicking heroin. After one relapse. I am now sober since Dec.6, 1999. If I can do it--anyone can! By the way, I'm female and weighed less than 130lbs. back then. I'm now 48 and feel great most of the time.
