  • If the thermostat is not opening, would this cause the fan not to come on?

  • @nooch812 If it's a mechanical fan it could be a bad fan clutch.

  • @1aauto If it's an electrical fan on the vehicle that you have it could be a bad relay or sensor that tells the fan when to kick on.

  • When you have to remove a fan that needs an adjustable wrench what size wrench is good for most cars like that? Would a 15, 18, or 25 inch work? I was thinking about getting a 15 inch long one

  • @nico27004 Using the proper size wrench would be ideal for the job, however if that's all that you have is an adjustable wrench, you may want to use one on the smaller side so that you can easily assess all of the bolts. Hope this helps you out.

  • Can you make a video for changing out the thermostat housing(not the thermostat cover, the part behind it that holds the thermostat)for 1994-1997 honda accord? Please, I would like to see if I can change that on my own, or if I really need a mechanic to replace my thermo housing with the their tools.

  • @TrystShawn82 We currently do not have an auto repair video on this particular repair. We'll keep this in mind in the event that we need to make this repair in the future. We carry the Haynes repair manuals on our website that should show you how to make this repair. Here's a link to them on our website. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com/1A/repairmanual/Honda/Accord/1AMNL00031/219914/1994

  • @1aauto tyvm for replying :) I wound up taking the car into a mechanic anyway. The 2nd bolt started stripping(attempting to take off the housing). I did not continue, as I did not want to destroy my engine further. I have a Haynes manual already. It does not show or tell how to remove the thermostat housing in the cooling, heating, and air conditioning systems chapter(3), only the thermostat itself, as well as the cover :(

  • i need help what if i didnt have the thermostat fan what can happen????

  • @babylokita0514 The thermostat tells the radiator fan when to kick off and on so that it cools the motor down. If the thermostat doesn't work it could cause the motor to over heat.

  • when i got home one night i tuned off my car and the antifreeze was really hot..wat does tht mean?..it was also kinda dirty

  • @dodgerfan931 Depending on how hot it was on most vehicles it will run between 210-215 degrees. Not sure if it was boiling inside of the radiator. If you would like to change the fluid you should wait until the vehicle has cooled down.

  • good video but is there a way that you can do a radiator fan replacement for a 99 hundai accent

  • do you have a video on the AC fan trouble shooting. My son's AC fan isn't running.

  • really nice and i enjoy lots and lots more while seeing....From this video i just open out my fan to feel the touch up of video without any reason

  • Nice vid...I was having overheating issues and checked the fuse for the cooling fan and it was blown. I put in a new fuse and it blew also...have not checked anything else...do yall have any instruction vids or advice on what to check for the blown fuse..?

  • @edwelch4 As of right now we do not. You may want to check for a corroded connection, or a frayed wire somewhere that ties into that fuse. Either of those things could cause a fuse to blow.

  • @edwelch4 if the fuse keeps blowing its a short in the electrics somewhere check the alternator

  • thank you so much u just save me 300 bucks

  • @jtjoker95 You're quite welcome. We offer a great variety of parts on 1aauto.com at great prices!

  • my radiator has a crack and i can see the antifrezze coming out do i need to replace the radiator or is there any prodict to cover the crack?

  • @omarcinho10 The crack will continue to grow. You need to replace the radiator.

  • i have a white steam coming out from the top of the radiator. is this a leak? and do i have to replace a new radiator?

  • @MrMotoR6 You need to find where that steam is coming from. Look for loose or cracked hoses, loose radiator cap etc. If there is radiator fluid coming from a crack in the radiator then you need to replace it. Is the car running hot according to the temp gauge? If it is then you could have a bad thermostat or water pump.

  • i have a civic 92 and the car over heats do i replace both fan moters the fan moter or do i replace the clutch fan

  • @g19hoops83 Check your fuses first. If the fuses are OK then consider replacing the fans.
