'Future Wars'--at least lyrically--is the quintessential heavy metal number. "If legend be true...this place is cursed...", I think Lips sings. I've always imagined a video for this number--it would be expensive to make; sort of like Braveheart or one of those King Arthur films. As the number fades, one would see Anvil pounding away over British fields on horseback.
Great stuff. I think Forged In Fire gets my vote as the Greatest Canadian Heavy Metal Album. It's part of my adolescence!

All my friends and I had this album. Winged assassins was their best tune. Too bad none of their other stuff was like it. I saw them open for Iron Maiden, I believe it was in '85.
Anvil is a great band,as good if not better than most metal bands,good management,lack of direction,change of line up,chosing material,has hurt this band,but they seem to be winning finally,I hope they make soom real money,for a change,they have paid there dues,more than most bands ever will.
